i know.
my summer camp in New York had, gasp, a rifle range....
and how about my Fender Jazz Bass. just saying....
all gone now
Had a Fender BassMan Amp, two 12” Speakers if I remember.
Had a Fender Strat too, when I could sort of play Guitar.
Did I mention my 1970 Torino GT with a 351, T Handle Four Speed and Shaker Hood? It was a POS, but it would be worth Big Bucks nowadays. So much stuff and we didn’t have a clue.
“Drag racing.”
My buddies used to drag race up in northern VA around McLean. One place was on the road (123 ?) in front of the CIA headquarters in Langley. Nice flat road with a stop light. The other convenient place was where the Dulles Access Road ended on the beltway. Back in those days, the Dulles road was virtually abandoned, especially in the evening. No traffic, no cops.
Another cool trick -
We’d buy a carton of book matches and snip off all the heads. Then stuff empty pellet gun CO2 cartridges with the match heads. Light them off in a pipe and it was like a homemade bazooka.
Some guys had BB gun fights, until they shot at a younger girl riding by on her bicycle.
Thanks for the ping!
