Not so unusual. I seem to remember a First Lady, way back in the distant past who was born in 1948 (I think) and was named for Sir Edmund Hillary before he climbed Mt. Everest.
This just shows, naming kid for an event that hasn't happened is not impossible. It just requires parents that think outside the box. Way outside.
