Look for some examples of house joint resolutions I guess... like I said, I am no lawyer, legislator, or clerk... I am an engineer that writes specifications, makes drawings, drafts contracts and that sorta thing... I am lucky to understand the difference between MAY and SHALL... but that’s about the extent of it.
The IRS doesn’t actually make a decision as to whether something is technically a “religion” or not ... what they do is specify HOW a religion must conduct itself in order to qualify for the tax break as a 501(c)(3).
MIND YOU ... that “religion” can forego the tax break and STILL be a “religion” you see. The IRS doesn’t change the “religion” status ... they only say what your conduct must be in order to qualify for that particular tax break.
A “religion” doesn’t really have to have the 501(c)(3) to do whatever they want to do as a religion.
Thank you!
AGREED!
But it would be nice to see them lose their tax breaks. They seem to like to tax infidels, this just seems like-—justice.
