Happy New Year!
Nanny State PING!
....conservatives can’t even steer the Republican party.
Good luck with that fight with Michelle.
and why hasn’t she demanded changes to the food where HER little spawns go to school?
I know what's Best for You!
Make the residents of the White House eat Michelle’s school lunches three times a day. And no cheating.
You better hope she never finds out about Soylent Green
Eat everything else. Don't drink juice.
“Cut out refined sugars, grains and processed foods. Easiest diet in the world.
Eat everything else. Don’t drink juice.”
Not much left. Sounds too much like Moochelle’s menu. There’s nothing wrong with grains. In fact they are necessary to a well rounded diet. Processed foods, depending on what they are, aren’t collectively all bad either. And juice in moderation is fine too, unless you guzzle huge quantities of it. Same with soda pop. And you can always drink diet pop or low cal fruit juice. I grew up on orange juice, bacon and eggs, all meats, bread, fruit, veggies (although I only liked a few of them then) and we always had dessert. There weren’t any PC foods to avoid.
Coffee was fine, chocolate in moderation was fine. Everyone ate eggs. I’m so sick of the PC food police, fad diets, gluten free annoys the heck out of me and is so unnecessary except for the very few. Plus my grandfather owned bakeries in the suburbs of Chicago long ago. My whole family ate fresh bakery goods and bread. Yummm. And roasts with potatoes and gravy, on Sundays. My grandmother lived to 90, my mom to 91. Fie on all of the PC baloney (pardon the food pun).
The difference was while growing up we were very physically active, not sitting at home at computers, tablets, smart phones, etc. And it was safe then to run around as kids in the neighborhood, and run around we did. It’s sitting on one’s duff that does you in.

God, isn’t that the truth? We used to run the neighborhood ALL day long and come home for lunch and dinner. And go outside again until after dark to play Hide n’ Seek or whatever. We rode bikes all day. Or ran through the woods playing make-believe games. Building tents and forts and tree-houses. No worries about sexual predators or kidnappings or murders. Mom hung out the door and yelled us home when it was time to get ready for bed. All summer long. God, what a sad stupid claustrophobic world kids grow up in these days. What a shame.
I have nothing to add to that but to vouch for its total truth. BTT
I have heard that prison food is better than her school lunch food.
Would it be their parents had that dreck fed to them thrice daily, and nothing more. I won't elucidate where, other than [solitary confinement].
That’s just pathetic, the only fight we can win is with an unelected First Lady that has made destroying the school lunch program her mission? I don’t recognize my country anymore.
In Seattle they have to eat the crap because as of today throwing away any food is illegal.
A lot of your children will now be felons
So your food groups are sugar, cards and hotdogs?
Apart from maintaining social conventions in certain situations and getting cheap sugar calories, there is absolutely no reason to eat grains. Grains give us gluten, lectins, and phytates.
What nutrients can you get grains that you can't get from meats, fish, vegetables, nuts, eggs, and Omega 3 oils?
But go ahead and believe that the FDA is working for your health and not the Agribusiness. And believe the government when they tell you all the additives in processed foods are safe. Just ignore the levels of obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease and trust the government.
