It is not “poor” people. It is crass, brutish people. People with no class, no dignity, few morals.
No Luke....
“Shame” is a product of behavior, and only the actor is capable of shameful behavior.
They can pretend they have no standards to live up to, but even you know better, don’t you Luke?
So it’s OK for street savages to break, injure and burn?
>>Children are actually the solution, because: they bring joy to the world; they put something bigger than you into your life, immediately; you have a direct impact on how the world will be in the future through them.
>>My kids will not be slaves to the pushers and grabbers at WalMart. They will have lives worth living, for Christ, and they will impact others around them.
They’re already slaves to the $17T debt that has been used to finance the Gibsmedats (the ones in the urban ghettos and the ones on Wall St). They were born with a mountain of debt on their shoulders and it will double every 5 years until the whole economy collapses and then they’ll be slaves of the economic system that will be implemented to “save us from the crisis”.
I don’t think it has anything to do with how much money people have. Here’s why I think that:
I was visiting family in Wyoming for Thanksgiving and stayed in a hotel. Since we had Thanksgiving dinner at 1 PM, the wife, daughter, and I wanted a bite to eat come 9:00 PM. The hotel diner was closed, so I volunteered to go into town and see what I could find. Surely McDonald’s or something is open. Nope, the only thing open was Walmart. It wasn’t crowded at all but really started picking up as I was getting some microwave food since the hotel room has a microwave. The store staff was putting sale stuff out and more and more people were coming in.
But you know what? They were the nicest, most orderly shoppers I’d ever seen. No running, no fighting, no struggling for items, no yelling. These were not rich people, most of them were cowboy types wearing Wranglers, cowboy boots, all that. If they were rich people, I don’t think they’d be cruising Walmart.
I’m not at all into Black Friday. I bought my few food items and headed back to the hotel. But if you’re going to get caught up unintentionally in a Black Friday event, that’s the one be at.
See #45.
Actually the pure ugliness and sinfulness of viewing Black Friday consumer violence altered my whole celebration of Christmas. I saw too much of my own love of material in all that.
We don’t do consumerism during Christmas anymore. We now give gold, cash and/or stocks before Christmas. It depends on how much money we have. We don’t buy “stuff.” The kids are happy about the change. (They don’t have to wear the “ugly” shirts, etc. I used buy for Christmas and have something of real value. LOL) Each son has his favorite cake which I bake and wrap for them to open on Christmas morning. Poor dad. He struggles with a fat belly after the holidays enough so he does not get a cake. : )

They probably use Borax, even. ;)
Nic!! LOL!
Hiya BQ. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. And will have a nice Christmas! Hope you’ve been well.
Heyy, you too! Merry Christmas early! I have one more week of work and then will have some time off to recover from this sweatshop-dungeon year, ha :0) I hope all is well for you too.
My only recreation lately has been to watch the riots and standoffs, how pathetic am I.
