One has no idea how veterinarians are having to deal with the fallout due to Obamacare. The list is long of drugs that were cheap and readily available that are no longer or priced out of the realm of affordability. Medical supplies, laboratory products and even animal foods have skyrocketed. Clients are complaining about the costs yet we cannot sell them at a loss and many clients don't understand. <

A literature review shows very little anecdotal answers as to which animals may be harbouring Ebola other than the Fruit Bats and Rats. After Ebola has killed 100K+ there may be some money sent that way for a study to be funded.

I didn’t realize the impact was so all-encompassing, much more than just the medications.

Do you tell your patients it’s because of Obamacare? My vet was cautious in saying it directly, but when I started in on big government, he was more forthcoming. This information needs to get out there! I don’t know how though, because I wouldn’t expect vets in blue or purple areas to compromise their practice. It has to be hard enough as it is now.
