Well, thank you for taking the time to explain this to me, I have a better understanding now, but I still think it’s kind of weird and spider-cagey.
But you know, if they want to make me a new liver, etc. I’d take it, weird or not.
That’s about as bland a “sculpture” as I’ve ever seen.
Just hit the keyword “3dprinting” or “3dprinters” above you and you can read threads about almost everything being manufactured already and this is still the infancy of this procedure.
I’m waiting for them to “print” heart valves derived from the patient’s own cells. My mechanical one is fine for a few decades, but I’d rather a real proper replacement that doesn’t require a lifetime of anti-coagulation meds and doesn’t tick like a clock.
