Even though there is much suffering, there are miracles too.
Wouldn't it be only seconds from detonation, especially if Iron Dome defenses had already missed? Makes me doubt the whole story. Some day a similar story will be true, though.
Why would G-d need a laser?
There are some details that make the story sound incorrect - minutes would give time for more attempts, for example. However, I do not discount the Hand of G-d.

Very cool story if true. I certainly believe this could be the hand of God, and it certainly falls into line with how God seems to move. However, is there a link, or is this an Internet tale?

This was passed along to me by my wife who knows the lady who translated it from the Yeshiva's website which is Hebrew. I do not know anymore than that.
There are other miracles going on.
Think of this- If it had not been for the three murdered Yeshiva students who prompted the Israeli search, and recapture of many of the animals they were forced to let go in the last 'barter' deal, the Gazan mobsters would not have fired all the rockets that forced the Israel's to respond and eventually escalated this current situation to what is going on now.
AND: because of the escalation, the IDF discovered the many fortified tunnels.
AND: That forced the hand of Hamas to send their murderous suicide killers through them right now.
AND: Through interrogation, the "IDF discovered that ALL the tunnels were to be used to launch an invasion of hundreds of killers (or thousands) all at the same time on Rosh Hashana to climb from the tunnels and kill as many as they could from the farms and civilian communities along their path.
AND: The Egyptians also found the tunnels that were being used to attach them at their border.
This entire war is a miracle. All of the events that lead to it were miraculous. While many are suffering, it is also catching Hamas off guard. The world sees what the cement was used for. Many of the enemy were destroyed. Much of their weaponry was destroyed.
Also, the American public is getting a good look at exactly how the administration views Israel and Hamas.

I saw a blog post earlier today which discussed all of that and said if Hamas had just gone about their business quietly they would have gotten very close to Israel and may have killed many, many Jews.
But, oh no, they just couldn’t resist the chance to grab a few Jewish boys to kill for fun.
And now the jig is up and their plans have been laid bare.
They are paying dearly for their ‘fun.’

I completely agree with your assessment of the timing and destruction of the tunnels. I had previously contemplated the same circumstances as miraculous from the hand of God.
Really cool, but what is disappointing is that it seems to catch us off guard, as if we're surprised that God still moves and is still completely in control of all things.

That’s several minutes before launch. These missiles travel a good distance, but they are not V2’s, let alone ICBMs.
