Many foundations are formed in order to launder old family money. Either family members or insiders are board members, and they vote to allocate the funds to projects that just happen to be beneficial to...the family.

Can I ‘donate’ to my own foundation - and then let the foundation employ me in retirement? Sounds like a tax dodge to me.
