I have yet in my near 50 years to meet a truly conservative racist/anti-Semite. It is the opposite of conservatism. It makes no sense.

I mean racism is fundamental. A person can’t be a casual racist. It’s binary. As is conservatitism. One cannot be conservative and not. So one person cannot embody two fundamental things that are diametrically opposed.

I’m not going to deny any of that stuff. The Republicans are always a disappointment. Everybody knows this. Likewise the DUmmies are always disappointed with the Democrats. It’s inherent in the system that the parties will disappoint ideological types like us. That doesn’t mean you go bananas and burn your party to the ground.

I have no intention at all of burning my party to the ground. I am fully behind and fully support my party. And I have no idea where you got that idea.

It’s your party that needs to be destroyed. I’m a Reaganist. Party of any who share his principles. See his 75 speech and any other for details.

burn your party to the ground.

NOT. MY. PARTY.

I am a conservative, not a republican. You keep assuming that conservatives somehow owe your party their votes. I'm here to disabuse you of that entitlement thinking.

I don't care if the republican party survives or not. They can either get conservative, or get destroyed.

I’m a Reaganist too. Do you seriously think Reagan would have been on the phone trying to swing votes away from McConnell in the general?

Absolutely. He did not support liberals. He said ‘Bold colors not pale pastels’, bought into the Founders words about enemies better in their own camp and said of those unwilling to govern conservatively, “Let them go their own way.

And he left the Dems BECAUSE they abandoned their principles.

So yes, I think evidence shows he would.

I will never understand it Johnny. People claim to revere Reagan. Then ignore his teachings.

What did Reagan do when the Dems turned on him/his beliefs and principles?

He walked away.

But somehow, we are supposed to ignore what he showed us by action to keep those whose kind he opposed in power?

WTF is wrong with the modern ‘conservative’s’ ability to reason?

Heritage Foundation gives McConnell a 76% rating, well above the senate Republican average and towering above the Democrat average.

So are you saying DeMint is in on the scam too?

Why did Reagan walk away from the Democrats Yard? WHY?

In detail. go research it. Maybe if you read it you will believe it.

Is there no depths to which you will not bow to avoid admitting the evidence of your own eyes? Not my words. Your eyes.

How many times do people have to make sharp 180 degree turns in your face Before you think to yourself “you know? something seems odd about slamming a guy forever then demanding I support him.”

Wasn’t the 11th commandment one of Reagan’s “teachings”?

He knew that the Republican party, for all of its failings, is the main vehicle for conservatism in American politics. The party then had basically the same problems as the party now, yet he chose to be part of it. That should tell you something.

I am very used to seeing a few posters on FR advocate a strategy of losing to win.

As opposed to your strategy of winning to lose? Conservatives lined up in 2010 to give control of the house back over to the GOP. What did we get for that? Open borders, $5+ trillion in new debt, and the enactment of Obamacare. And that's what you call winning?

I am always looking for a sign - any sign - that the GOP has seen the error of its ways. Yet all I see is the same old arrogance bemoaning how difficult us conservatives make it on their affinity for lying in bed with Democrats.

It tells me you need a history lesson. Show me where Reagan’s era Republican party sided with Democrats regularly and protected them from harm.

So you agree with taking out Republican senators in general elections? Not primaries, generals. That’s what’s being advocated by the lose to win crowd.

He ought to listen to those few posters because we have a prediction success rate that would make the Oracle of Delphi blush with envy.

I agree with taking out any RINO in any election. Because one does not “win” putting a problem in power.

So are you going to read up on Reagan or what?

Reagan contended with the establishment types just like we’re contending with them now. The party was full of those people. They’re the ones who backed Gerald Ford against him during his first run.

So replacing McConnell with a pro-abort liberal Democrat and possibly falling short of a Senate majority — not a problem to you. Not even really a consideration.
