Well, it is only a 3.5 hour drive to the federal prison in Butner, NC.

"Asheville has been taken over by gays, complete with parades and naked roof-top dancing festivals. That is a small, tiny, miniscule geographic area surrounded on all sides by the bitterest of bitter clingers.
Both these elements were factored into the book "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. Worth reading, even if you're not from that area and recognize many of the landmarks in the book. (Book regards one second after an EMP strike.)

The whole damn state is overrun with Yankees who fled the cesspool they lived in, vote they same way after moving and not being able to figure out why their new home is turning into, you guessed it, a cesspool.
