What's the over-under on how long before this BS is proven false?
Will there be time enough to place a bet?

I would bet dollars to donuts money was paid....
The democrat crime machine has many money laundering fronts...
The WH could easily hide it....

Executive order. Release the terrorist with a new suit of clothes and 5 million in the pockets.

(from the article):" The Haqqani Network generally does not release Westerners unless they receive a large payment,
Stockman said in a statement released Thursday.
It would be hard to believe they would release Bergdahl in an exchange that does not directly benefit them.
EXACTLY TRUE !!
But that would be aiding the enemy, and would legally be treason !

OK. Now we have the first story on Friday June 6. The real one will be out before Friday June 13.
We all know this White House needs at least 3-5 tellings to get the final answer out.

One deserter for 5 terrorists that will be back to wreak even more destruction later with contacts they met over here in prison. No worries though.0bama has their back.

So
”THE UNITED STATES” did not give the money, eh?
That smells to me like a very mechanical, LEGALISTIC response.
Maybe a CONTRACTOR gave the money, then. Or the US gave it to Kabul, who then transferred payment to the Taliban.
I can think of a million ways American money got to the Taliban but was not, per se, given by the “UNITED STATES”.
These sick DC people really do accept this type of hyper-parsing as normal —they do it all the time.

OT there is the possibility that we paid the terrorists money. The folks Bergdahl was living with were his friends. He was not a hostage or a prisoner of war. Maybe we paid Bergdahl’s friends for keeping him alive. Maybe his dad paid the friends of Bowe. And maybe we gave the Guantanamo prisoners a gift for being held in prison for so long.

The United States did not provide money in return for Sgt. Bergdahl, National Security Staff spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said.
Big difference between that and, "The United States did not provide anything in return for Sgt. Bergdahl, National Security Staff spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said.
Way too much wiggle room for these asswipes.
