The 31 RCT of the 7th ID was just about wiped out.
OK, it was good but not a great documentary. I have seen and read better accounts. This was more of a personal history and not a military history.
They overdid the not background but intrusive cello or whatever it was constantly playing.
it would seem more like a personal history if they did the interviews. It is good to have those interviews on the record, although it would not be the same as a military documentary.
Can’t remember which of these quotes is my favorite from the Frozen Chosin...
“We’ve been looking for the enemy for some time now. We’ve finally found him. We’re surrounded. That simplifies things.”

Chosin is the “forgotten victory” and this documentary tells the story in actual combat photos and interviews with survivors.
photos and newsreels of bodies stacked like cordwood, frozen where they died, are gruesome reminders of the unbelieveable hardships that the Americans underwent in temperatures of 40 degrees below zero.
