The BB gun is the worst invention ever. It’s small enough to be considered a toy but big/powerful enough to really cause property damage and/or hurt someone. I was never allowed to have a BB gun as a kid, my parents would only allow me to own a real gun (after a lot of training and showing that I was mature enough to handle it).
There would appear to be a different video attached rather than one of gun safety.
In my locale, there was a big to-do about some guy shooting his kid at a gun range with a 9mm while putting it away in a soft case. It doesn’t help our cause when a guy like this is out doing everything wrong. First off, I do not understand people who shoot HALF a clip. Then he’s got his finger on the trigger while putting it away, safety isn’t on, he’s pointing it in an unsafe direction, I could go on and on. Good lord. The gun-grabbers were all over that one. Too bad he shot his kid instead of himself.
I got my Red Ryder in 1954, age 8. It came complete with a note on gun safety from Santa Claus!

You have a good point. I figure you might as well just start kids with a .22. Even with a BB gun the same rules of safety and responsibility apply and need to be followed and a .22 is a lot more fun and used to be cheap enough to shoot.
Funny! Just because they can own a gun is not to say that some people SHOULD.
Did the note say "Be careful, you'll shoot your eye out, kid"?

It is scenes like these that give guns a bad rap while, in reality the people discharging them should not have been allowed near them.
Nothing funny about these scenes although those involved got a big kick out of them.
