I am praying for the passengers and hoping someday they can go home.
I was not aware of the Malaysian connection to 9/11. Thanks for posting.
This article makes this most recent event even more damning for being a Muzzie terrorist op and not a crash like some FReepers seem to be of the opinion.
Thanks for reading, and for your positive comment.
You’re welcome, and you’re right.
As I remember the pilot of the hijacked plane that hit the Pentagon was at that meeting.
Bad things for us Infidels come out of Malaysia.-Tom
Good research!
I did not know about this connection.
I consider that story a red herring since it is the Malaysian government that put that story out for public consumption.
I think the Malaysian government is covering for those pilots.
With most of the passengers from China, is anybody else surprised that the China government has been pretty quiet so far?
Too bad there’s no good way to fact check this stuff.
Actually, I think China is pretty ticked:
Amid Malaysian flight mystery, reminders of regional rough seas
March 15, 2014 7:45PM ET
China’s harsh words with Kuala Lumpur over fate of missing plane are part of broader rivalry over South China Sea
China on Saturday demanded that Malaysia provide better information about the missing Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared while on its way to Beijing a week ago.
The request came as Malaysia said the plane had been deliberately diverted off course, with whoever responsible taking with them scores of Chinese passengers on board the jet. But Chinas continued blunt rhetoric against Kuala Lumpur is part of a broader regional rivalry over disputed territory that has been underscored, and which will remain bitter, once the focus of the multinational search operation moves on from the South China Sea.
“We demand that the Malaysian side continue to provide to China more thorough, accurate information,” China’s foreign ministry said, adding that it was sending a technical team to Malaysia to help with the probe.
The demand for Malaysia to step up its search, additionally asking it to involve more countries in the effort, mirrored the physical reality of Beijing’s military and technological might, which has been on full tilt during the search operation in the guise of Chinese warships and sophisticated satellite deployments.
At least 150 Chinese nationals were on board Flight MH370, and after nine days without definitive information on the circumstances of the missing flight, Beijing has now repeatedly and publicly expressed its discontent.
Saturdays statement followed an earlier pronouncement, including Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang on Monday acknowledging that while Malaysia had the “main responsibility” for both the search and the follow-up investigation, Beijing had a responsibility not only to participate but to “demand and urge” Malaysia to step up its efforts.
“The Chinese are drawing the conclusion that these guys are not ready for prime time,” said Ernie Bower, a regional expert at Washington’s Center for Strategic and International Studies, to Reuters, referring to Malaysia and its efforts to find the mystery plane.
But while Chinas show of force can reasonably be attributed to its interest in getting to the bottom of a mystery that affects its nationals, its difficult to divorce the rhetoric from the ongoing territorial dispute.
Separately Monday, China said that its coast guard ships had driven away two Philippine vessels which had tried to approach a shoal in the South China Sea the latest flare-up of a long-running territorial dispute.
Why would the Malaysian government send the US looking east instead of west when it knew that it went west after the transponder was turned off? Why were the Malaysian military radars not monitoring air traffic like they were supposed to?
Why did the Malaysian government put guards at the pilots and co-pilots residence and not search them until it was pretty well clear that they were most likely in on it?
And now some Greek freighter says they found debris and luggage floating in the Malacca Straights after it had been thoroughly searched? This is the worlds most busily trafficked area by ships from all over the world including pirates and no one saw the aircraft fall into the sea or find any wreckage themselves. But that report by the Greeks has now been nixed. There wasnt any debris.
But turning back to the Malaysians...
Why isnt the Malaysian government searching for the family of the pilot who moved the day before the flight?
“Why isnt the Malaysian government searching for the family of the pilot who moved the day before the flight?”
Failure to follow through on one step in their fabricated story evidently..
Malaysia has exhibited either willful neglect or gross incompetence in applying KNOWN security measures.
That their Airline will experience a total plunge of paying customers, indefinitely is a foregone conclusion. Even ignorant no information travelers value their lives. Westerners? For them they will have to settle for weighing their need to travel and take their chances. Greed is a powerful motivator for travelers in that part of the world.
Me?
No way I would travel with any of those "Oriental Culture" airlines under ANY circumstances.
Similarly, every Western international airport must now take up the slack and allow time to give ALL passengers on direct flights from Kuala Lumpur an extreme inspection and security check on arrival (assuming the flight arrives.) I certainly would not rely on their "saving face" bureaucracy to improve their procedures any time soon.
As an aside, even American airlines traveling to areas like American Samoa must rely of locals to hold up their end of business, including all security protocols.
The long-lived traveler is aware, and probably knows (or should know) where all the airports are which consider security a bothersome, optional activity.
Yes, Flood lists him specifically by name, and the flight number, 77.
Isn’t this country where our president was raised?
In the 1970s and 1980s it was said that the safest flights to be on were Air France as the French had come to certain “agreements” with Middle Eastern terrorist groups. I have no idea how true that is and eventually France became a terrorist target anyway.
However I have long felt that something similar was going on with Malaysia. All their neighbours, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines suffered major terrorist attacks or attempted attacks but not Malaysia. Malaysia always seemed to have an immunity from attack, and then one noticed how many of the terrorists in SE Asia had Malaysian connections.
The major terrorists in Indonesia behind the big spectacular attacks were either Malaysian citizens or were trained in Malaysia but Malaysia always got a free pass from the world press as a peaceful well-run Muslim nation while Indonesia was usually painted as a den of terrorism.
I suspect Malaysia’s pact with the devil might well have blown back on them at last.
No
Who knows, maybe Malaysia created Obama.
