I fully support castrating anyone who promotes sexual activity between men and young men/boys. Except that I’d prefer for the incision to be about their necks, if you don’t mind.

This fellow is well intended, but misguided.

The warning of Christ was, in my humble opinion, intended as figurative. Even blind men can lust. So can physical eunuchs (my “fixed” tomcat is a great example of that, as the spayed female cat he kept trying to mount could vouch if she could talk). The better sense is made by taking it as figurative. It means to give up habits of sin no matter how important those habits may seem. Not the literal resources that had been used in the sin, which are neutral, and can very happily be repurposed. To illustrate that, the parable of the prodigal son does better, or perhaps the parable of the weed-choked land that is close to a curse and ends up being burned so that it will be arable in the future, or the branch that bears fruit that is cleansed (some translations say pruned) so that it may bear more fruit. And there are other parables to a similar point.

I humbly submit that the thesis of this article is, in fact, satanic. It diminishes the capability of God to be glorified.

Homosexuals aren’t Eunuchs.

Homosexuals are perverts who have chosen to serve themselves above God, turning themselves into an idol.

God is not pleased by this behavior, and when a man decides to continually do this over the preventing Grace of God and the Conscience that God gives every man, God gives them over to the most vile of all sins, Homosexuality.

There is nothing worse.

Ummm... it’s BAD, it is a misuse of love capacity to entertain hate, but to say there is nothing worse is an overreaction. That’s not how the downward spiral in Romans 1:20ff ends; that is only one misfeature near the bottom.

And sadly there are Christians who do exhibit attitudes that are even lower in the degradation list... and they will often hurl hellfire threats at homosexuals but never be able to share the gospel with them that will actually save them.

Yet another thing to note: the promise of salvation is atomic. The working of salvation is not. In fact it won’t be complete in this mortal coil. (Unabashed Crazy Evangelical theology here. I know our Catholic friends differ and I don’t care.) And so Christians upon which the promise of salvation rests can still show bad attitudes. The pretense of perfection has ironically thrown a lot of Christian walks off from being as good as they could be on this mortal coil. Better to admit the habit of sin that you have noticed today, then “cut it off” so that you will enter more fully into the kingdom of heaven.

Eunuchs tend to live about 13 years longer than normal males, in part because of the low stress life, in part because of less risky behavior.

Homosexuals tend to die younger than normal males, due to their exposture to several diseases.

And so what of the hell? Well, hell follows us around (to the extent that God permits, intending them as trials we can use to our good by resisting the devil) and as Jesus says, it is never satisfied. It will keep burning up our spirits, our resources, as long as we consent to give them to this hell. Like heaven, hell also manifests itself in this mortal coil.

Actually, I both misspoke, in one regards, and didn't give the complete message on this issue.

Homosexuality is referred to as an Abomination in the Bible, to my knowledge, there is no other sin that is given that adjective.

With regards to it being the worst, there is one that is worse, that can never be forgiven according to the scripture, and that is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Actually, that is a function of whether a man is truly saved or not.

For a Christian must be blunt and forceful in his/her denouncing of sin. It is a necessary act of love.

That being said, two people can, as you say, hurl hellfire threats at homosexuals, one out of love, and one out of self-righteousness. From the perspective of the person "hurling" those threats, one pleases God, because it is uttered in love for the sinner, and the other does not, because in essence, it is sin, since it was not uttered in love.

That being said, God, or the Holy Spirit, may use either or both, no matter the motive of the one uttering the hellfire threat, to convict the heart and mind of the homosexual on the receiving end.

The Holy Spirit, throughout history, can and will use those that we may look down on, to talk to us. Several instances in the Bible, in my life, and the lives of those I love prove this to be true.

God works in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform!

Furthermore, if you read to the end of the passage in Romans 1 that covers homosexuality, Paul rightly describes homosexuals as the following:

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I'm not sure, but I don't think it gets worse than this.

Lastly, people who truly repent, will freely, and honestly tell you that they were/are the worst of sinners (this is true repentence) because they came to know themselves as God sees them outside of His Grace.

That being said, I’ve met only a few people in my life, and they were homosexuals, that would fall into the description of vs. 28 through 32 and they are truly miserable people, and yet, going full-speed ahead to hell.

I’ve always felt that maybe God gave them over to this type of sinful “disease” in a last-ditch effort to wake them up, much like the prodigal son.

There is ancient evidence that Daniel was a eunuch. See Josephus:

“But now Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, took some of the most noble of the Jews that were children, and the kinsmen of Zedekiah their king, such as were remarkable for the beauty of their bodies, and the comeliness of their countenances, and delivered them into the hands of tutors, and to the improvement to be made by them. He also made some of them to be EUNUCHS . . . Now among these there were four of the family of Zedekiah, of most excellent dispositions, one of whom was called Daniel, another was called Ananias, another Misael, and the fourth Azarias; and the King of Babylon changed their names, and commanded that they should make use of other names.

Daniel he (the King) called Baltasar; Ananias, Shadrach; Misael, Meshach; and Azarias, Abednego. These the King had in esteem, and continued to love, because of the very excellent temper they were of, and because of their application to learning, and the progress they had made in wisdom.” (Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book 10, Chapter 10, first paragraph)
