Why Is The Government Shut Down?
Because the Senate Democrats would rather shut down government than subject themselves and their staff to ObamaCare. It's that bad.

All you will hear out of them is how the Republicans are causing trouble for everyday American citizens by their refusal to compromise their right-wing ideology.Compromising with bad policy is like adding just a little sewage to your drinking water. No good can come of it.

Because the Democrats are intransigent and want to use this to bully Republicans. If the people suffer, all the better, as far as Democrats are concerned. (But irritatingly, they’re not suffering.)

It’s not just that they were closed.
It’s that there was nothing to close!
“Closing” these required building walls just for the purpose of denying access to that which access to was trivial.
There’s a difference between locking a door to an existing building, vs erecting a building just so you have a door to lock.
