I could not read past #2. It breaks my heart that people would make this decision based on money. Dream house trumps children? How can that be right? Children are one of the delights of life.
Press “Next” right below the article.
Look at how many millions in the West buy into this anti-child mentality and are aborting themselves out of existence.
Boy do I hate these “one click per item” websites. What a scummy way to get extra ad income.
[[Dream house trumps children?]]
Yes, and dream jobs. A female lawyer is not likely to have many children.
Not surprisingly, the author, Quentin Fottrell, is a militant homosexual abortion activist.
Only the muslims and the moochers are having multiple babies. The producers are allowing themselves to be bred out of existence.
America does not need China’s one baby rule; our government has cleverly enacted it on a voluntary basis.
No, I did not mean that I could not figure out how to do it; I could not bring myself to do it, because my heart was heavy. What a terrible article - so materialistic, so void of any sense of mystery or delight in new life.
We have a new beautiful, amazing granddaughter, a surprise (how?) to the young ‘uns who chose to keep the pregnancy under HEAVY urging to get an abortion because they ‘would ruin their lives, not have a chance to finish college, etc.’ She is our delight, and those who urged her murder in utero are also delighted. And the young ‘uns are delighted, too, and stepping up to the plate.
How can people think - Gee, I won’t be able to buy a dream home if I continue with this pregnancy? What is a dream home with no children to fill it?
The bottom line is most people would never save enough money to have a kid, so these types of articles are simply anti-family.
When I was a kid, back in the sixties and early seventies, I remember "The Dream" being a big house, eating out at fancy restaurants, belonging to a country club, and driving a caddy. What else could anyone want?
I don't remember my parents promoting it, but I absorbed it from the atmosphere.
It doesn't sound like much has changed, except that we're all poorer, now.
Unless I overlooked it, the article missed “retirement delayed is retirement denied.” Not long ago, there was an article reporting that many parents are cleaning out their retirement funds to pay for kids’ college expenses. Guess what, they don’t retire and have every intention of dying in place. There is no “discretionary income” when you are raising children.
I wasn’t impressed. All these reasons COULD be valid, but usually aren’t, or it’s illogical to compare. Like the cost of a house and then children. How about the cost of children and the cost of a car? Or the cost of a microwave oven????? That’s cheaper than children too. sheesh.
#3, I’ll Break Your Heart.
Yeah, maybe. If you raise your kids like those parents that are threatening to sue the man who reluctantly exposed their little darlings identities when they TRASHED HIS HOUSE while he was away.
Kids aren’t perfect beings, neither are the parents, but there can be a love that transcends love and passion and what we thought we could accomplish. I’ll always remember this:
Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. Elizabeth Stone.
I made it all the way to number five before the excrement got too deep.’’
We have a handful, and we have been well to do and poor (thanks to Odumbo & co)
I wouldn’t trade them for the world. Wifey and I will always be “rich” with them in our lives
Libs are miserable selfish people who would never consider the gift of a child as a blessing.
Who gives a bleeping freep? "Never love anything that can't love you back."
Nonsense.
Bottom line is middle class people are stupid and lazy and not ready to suffer even a little bit for a future.
Queering the whole world. That’s the agenda.
4. Have fun at work paying for my child care.
I think I see a possible way to avoid this one.
