The term ‘flack’ is usually used for people in the communications arm of an organization. I’m unsure of the origin but it could have to do with their dealing with the ‘flak’ (actual term for antiaircraft fire) that their candidate/organization receives.

RETWEETS- ,cursing,swearing- and he Knew he was tweeting
to a woman. -Now if it had been Anthony Weiner...
he would have gotten a pass.
Let us not forget the vile remarks made about Sarah Palin and Trig. The ungodly Left was in full snarling mode for all to see the content of their character is mostly hate.Indeed, they were. Rick Santorum, too, had the most sickening things said about him [and when they included his beautiful daughters in their attack and no one said a thing about it], I could understand why one would back off from the fight.
Must be they were waiting for a good reason to fire him.....otherwise most apologize and it’s water over the dam....especially if someone is waiting in the wings they prefer.
Even NY libs rejected both former congressman Weiner and former governor Spitzer during the primaries. Lots of strict religious Jewish folk who vote liberal but not perverted liberal in NYC

I was listening to NPR Garrison Keillor show the day Reagan died. The show's opening was as usual. However Keillor made the announcement about Reagan's death before the show got going.
It sounded like the whole audience erupted into squeals of delight, cheers, applause.. but it went silent pretty quick. I assumed that Keillor let known his embarrassment at the outburst. (They could celebrate off air.)
Years later I listened to a replay and unless the response was edited there were really only a handful of audience members expressing their delight at Reagan's death.

Please stop confusing the two.
We have some regular bloggers here who follow the rules delineated by the site owner.

No, we don't like Blog Pimps who abuse the excerpt function on Free Republic. That function is to use for sites that prohibit posting the entire contents of the web page, like the Washington Times, not for Blog Pimps who just want to put in teaser lines and get you to click on the link to up their metrics. It's an abuse of the system, and humblegunner calls them out on it.
Ever wonder why Blog Pimps just don't post the entire contents of their blogs here on Free Republic? Now you know.
