So the 13-14 year old victim “consented”? Is that what this idiot thinks is right?
A reasonable inference to make since the sex of the student was not mentioned.
What's the probability that six teachers would openly support a heterosexual male teacher who had an affair with a female student? I'm guessing it would be indistinguishable from zero.

The local paper has no problem reporting facts, and photos of the teacher.
Yet another reason that it's good to live out in the country.
The commentary at the end of the story was interesting. About a 50/50 split between "Hang Him" and "No way he did this".
One reasonable comment was that he's innocent until proven guilty. Fair enough.

More recent article isn't 100% clear. I'm a little confused, I *guess* the guy was tried and convicted? If so, then "hang him". No sympathy from me.

those letters from the teachers. “A mistake” - A mistake!!! This is a child. His life has been changed, hopefully not irrevocably.

Good to see a small community rallying behind this couple. Every now and then public servants - school board, teachers, admins - need to be reminded that they serve the public, not their own interests.
