Sawx have the best record in baseball. Kudos to the front office for completely restructuring the team. And the Yankees are imploding..they're just about out of the playoffs..even with the addition of the second wild card.
Except for the NL East, which the Braves have all but locked up..we still have several exciting division and wild card races..
And there's always A-Rod...
Several years back..I did an ongoing baseball thread...if there's enough interest, judging by response, I'll start it again, and ping y'all..
So sound off about everything and anything baseball related..

I am a Napoli fan, not so much Red Sox. Rangers are finally getting hot again and hopefully will outpace the A’s.

Okay, I decided to see how far back the NYY’s are from the first place team vs. my lowly Seattle Mariners. Both are 11.5 games behind. Wow, if I were you I would be mad too; especially considering how much higher the NYY’s payroll is.

Good job beating the Yankees third string, Ken :)
It does look like they are done. Can’t put together a win. Either the pitching stinks, the hitting is absent, or they blow a lead like they did twice last night.

Loving the Red Sox this year despite all the stupid trades they’ve made recently.
Seeing the Yankees implode is beautiful.

Sawx have the best record in baseball. As long as you don't count the National League...where men are men and pitchers hit.

what is it with the penis envy of the Boston fans? They have a better team... move on. Yankees stink this year and probably for the next few unless they get a 250mil bailout like the Red Sox got from the Dodgers.
Once the Sox get to, say half the championships the Yankees have, then come back and brag.

An old fan of the Sox, I’m watching the season pass in awe and hoping - fingers crossed - that they don’t do their usual end-of-season nosedive.

Three hottest teams in baseball right now, with my Royals being one of them, and the other two (Cleveland and Detroit) are in the same division; 6 and 8.5 games up respectfully :-(
Still, it’s nice to finally have something to be excited about in KC in August, other than the Chiefs!

The Tigers are only .05% behind the Sox, they're hotter, bought your young shortstop, have a better pitching, better offense and overall a better team lined up for the playoff run than the Sox.
If you make the AL final, you're gonna get beat.
Sorry about that.....

Still a looong way to go before the end of the season. Just ask Ralph Branca.
And you really can't say the "Yankees" are imploding. The current roster is just a bunch of thrown together no-bodies and has-beens who weren't expected to win anyway.
