I read deeper and now understand the gun running that was going on in Bengazi and why they are so hell bent on covering it up.
We were helping in Syria by arming Muslin Extremists who ended up attacking us, likely with the weapons we gave them.

And some on here are terrified at the mention of treason or aiding and abetting the enemy.
I'm still researching this angle. It's starting to connects some dots with regards to why security wasn't beefed up (low profile), why they could anticipate an attack and need more security before 9/11, why they didn't want to send reinforcements and escalate the battle. Had we won and repelled the attack, we may have uncovered something. Finally, I get the reason for the cover up (election and secret gun running).
I do not believe that Obama wanted to get American's killed. But if he were trying to help overthrow the Syrian government loyal to Iran, the motive would have been well intentioned. There may be a good reason for the covert operation. But this a$$hat and his cronies couldn't manage birthday party, let alone a covert operation or foreign affairs in general.

Partially agree with you except there is no side for the U.S. to be on in the Middle East. We are infidels to both Sunni (al Qaeda) and Shiite (Iran).
