granted it may be too difficult to remove the executive but i would assume the founders imagined enough of americans would revolt before they’d let a tyrant rule over them. the founders revolted over a lot less.

they did leave that clause/option on the table.

maybe you just feel like hanging it o thgem, that’s fine. i really don’t as they knew the vulnerabilities and it’s hard for them to think of all contingencies. i don’t think most envisioned the serious possibility of a country as it is today.

No question, the Founders didn’t anticipate the country as it is today. It’s just that the model they used was the 18th century model, that of King George, and it’s gotten old and archaic, with its flaws for all to see.

well it may have shortcomings, i do not think it is old or archaic or flawed because of that. i think there could be some small changes made but the framework is sound.

the real problem we have today are politicians ignoring the constitution, and passing and enforcing unconstitutional laws claiming they are constitutional, when the common people see and know they aren’t. and compounding the problem is lesser magistrates - states, governors, etc, do not understand they have a duty to protect people from unconstitutional laws, and not to enforce unconstitutional laws the federal/or their state governments create. some are waking up now because of the tremendous 10th amendment violations of fedgov, but most aren’t.

maybe i could have said it more concise, the problem we have today is federalism. unchecked. usurpation of powers not delegated to fedgov. and the states to blame for letting them do it. not an old form of government.

you can’t blame the form of government when current politicians aren’t following it. they ignore it, deliberately go agaimst it, pass laws by power they never had delegated to them, etc. if anything the blame is on us for not removing them ourselves. we just sit here and let them keep doing things we all see are unconstitutional. we have normalcy bias too.
