Thew enviro-nuts are truly insane. May they sit in darkness through their worthless existence. In my perfect scenario I visualize these lactose-free, gluten-free, earth-shoe types turning off all the lights in their house for an hour, and then when they go to turn them back on... nothing. Click-click. No light. They check with their neighbors. No light. No heat. After about a day, panic would set in. This would make a good sic-fi short story.
Libs like to play games of "let's feel good about ourselves", but they don't and can't live with the consequences of their actions.

My first clue that this years earth hour was an even more pathetic bust than last year was when a quick scan of the usual news sources made absolutely no mention of it. This of course raised suspicions and sure enough, a quick scan of the electrical system operators website showed that at almost exactly 8:30 pm last night, the demand took a sudden increase
.. eyeballing it looks like it went about 15% above the predicted demand curve. It looks like I wasn’t the only one doing my annual electrical stress test during this timeframe!

Heck, even the word sabotage comes from “activists” throwing their shoes into the machinery.

Many of these environmentalists are also dissemblers of first rank. I have a cousin who is a bleeding heart leftist (every family has one) and among other affiliations, a member of the Sierra Club. She has harangued members of the family unceasingly about issues near and dear to the Left since adulthood, especially waxing on the evils of big oil and gas- how they are ruining the pristine planet and consumed by greed. I don't believe she is animated by hostility toward humans per se; I think she would like to keep nature and humanity separate, believing good stewarship is incompatible with capitalistic inetrests.
But wait! Our Grandfather acquired thousands of acres of rural land in the 1930’s for timber. Last year after signing her mineral rights lease agreement with Big oil for her share of the property she retired. She is now a former anesthesiologist and current insufferable hypocrite and “artist”. Oh, and she lived and practiced in Detroit but since has relocated to state-tax-free Texas. When it comes down to brass tacks, people, even professed "liberals," act in their own self-interest. Push and prod any one of them and I think you'll see their true colors.

No amount of turning off the lights is enough. Eventually you come around to having to turn off the people. It's funny how every wrong ideology boils down to "Kill people."

I have a farm, sheep, chickens, etc, and hate the watermelon useful idiots that control and screw up almost everything. They wouldn’t last three days in the woods before one of their sweet gaia predators ate them. If Commies take my farm, they’ll starve in six months. When their cities die, they will flee like parasites from a dead rat and all the metro-sexuals can kiss my grass; but, all ya’ll Constitution, Bible and gun huggers are welcome at my table anytime.

In regards to eco-fascists, I find it interesting, that if humans are so bad for the earth why don’t the eco-fascists kill themselves to protect “mother earth”, i.e. practice what they preach.

The hour without lights was nothing more than symbolism. A way of making people feel guilty for not helping the environment.

Great ways to celebrate Earth Hour:
Have a BBQ.
Have a BBQ of old car tires.

According to the
WUWT blog, the picture below shows a satellite view at night of North Korea, the winner for Earth Hour in every year since 2003. Odds favor them to be the winner again this year. Earth Hour has been such a stunning success in North Korea, that it’s “always Earth Hour there”, according to
Alan Caruba, who comments that “electricity is truly a gift of the gods. It is the difference between the Dark Ages and the present age.”

Gaea worship is idolatry for the 21’st century.
To: expat1000
Like all environmental gimmicks, Earth Hour is perverse and hypocritical. Far more energy is consumed promoting it, then is saved by practicing it. LOL - God, I love this guy...

John 3:17-21 King James Version (KJV)
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
