I got 94 percent.
I think I mixed up the Henry J and it’s mates...
94% is extremely respectable
The Henry J and friends question took the most time for me.
I got 85%
A lot of these pictures showed the used cars my family and neighbors drove when I was a kid - mentally knocked off a few loose chrome strips and added back a little rust and they were easy to identify.
Agree with you on Hudsons too. Love that zeppelin-like look, one of the few cars where the four door model is prettier than the coupe.
Thanks for the post. That was a lot of fun reminiscing not only the cars of my youth, but some fun memories that accompanied seeing some of those old cars.
My favorite of all those I owned back then was my ‘55 Chrysler Imperial. I loved that car. Wish I had it now.
I screwed up two early on. Mixed up the Plymouth Savoy with the Dodge Coronet, but got all the rest for a 96%.
Fun exam.
Not reporting my score...:(
I missed a few, which surprised me...Henry J and Kaiser...Desoto and Chrysler...
Hubby mixes up the Henry J as well. Said he’d never seen one.
He got 96% total on the quiz.
Yet; no pix of the memorable 3 Wheel Davis sedan.
(You could look it up.)
I got 94%. Should have done better. I am older than all those cars. That ‘58 Pontiac station wagon could have been a picture of the one my Dad owned.
I looked up the Davis Sedan. Says it was built in ‘48. Quiz was cars from the 50’s.
They were still for sale in the early 50s (someone said the builder sold only half the production in ‘48.)
As a teen in the early 1970s, these cars were still around, and the yearly model changes made them distinctive.
In the mid 70s the cars didn’t change so much, and if this quiz was for 80s and 90s cars, I’d flunk out.
all: For bonus points, where was the gas filler cap on the 1958 Cadillac?
How about on the 1958 Chevy Bel-Air?
Got 100% - guessed right on some!
Filler caps? 1958 Caddy and Bel-Air - were they behind the driver’s side tail light? I’m trying to go from memory without using the ‘net to cheat.
I don’t know about a 58 chevy, but a 56 chevy has the gas filler inside the drivers side tail light. One sleeps in my barn.

58 Caddy is behind the driver’s side rear lights; ‘58 Chevy is below the trunk in the center segment.
You would have been correct about the ‘58 Caddoo-behind the driver’s side tail lights.
The ‘58 BelAir is below the trunk, in the center segment.
Lucky you with a ‘56—that was a very good looking car.
