ESPN would be wise to bring in one of the locals from each team for color commentary on their broadcasts.

Hamilton just struck out in the top of the 8th. I’d say that’s it. Cabby wins the triple crown.

Now that would mean that they would have to swallow some of their ego to call a local announcer into their sacred broadcast booth !

Now 9 to 5 for the A’s in the bottom of the eighth. 9 to 5 is appropriate for a team of working stiffs and rookies.

I will be watching the Yankee game and following the Obama butt-kissing, dog & pony show here on FR! I cannot stand to hear Bozo’s voice and will go postal if I see the biased moderators try to protect his bony ass!

I believe Carl Yastrzemski won the triple crown with a tie in at least one category.

Well since the Rangers are getting their butts kicked right now, I guess I’ll be watching the debates.

will go postal if I see the biased moderators try to protect his bony ass! Exactly - along w/his softball questions and prescreened by him to make him look on top of things and 'gotcha' questions for his opponent. Listening/watching propaganda and liars are never on my schedule.
Go Yankees!

Yaz. What a ballplayer,he played his entire 20 some year career for the red sox. it was 1967 that he won the triple crown. By the way, I lived in Boston at the time. I still have the original globe lineup for game 6 , 1975 world series, where they brought in a helicopter to dry out the field. It was the most exciting game I have ever attended thanks to lee montville giving me his tickets.

Josh Hamilton makes more than the A’s entire payroll, and he does his Dez Bryant imitation to blow the game.

Wow good baseball stuff, better than talking about a hyped up political debate. And now that the A’s won, it is great to reflect that I live in the only place in America that has two teams in the playoffs.

I believe it was 44 home runs, exactly what Cabrera has now.

Yaz has a great story. That era produced a lot of them. In Detroit we still see Al Kaline at the park for every game.
