If those are touch and go marks, the Chicoms are a lot closer to operations than everybody is assuming
Probably associated with aircraft/ship compatibilty at this stage - and they are in the right position for a bolter, just ahead of #4 wire.
But still, if they have released a J-15 prototype for this, this is being treated as super priority.

I don't think that they were simply refurbishing the ex-Varyag so much as blue-printing it. I expect the first indigenous Chinese CV to look much the same. Perhaps it will be scaled-up a bit.

China probably has thousands of mobiles that can launch missiles to accurately hit any part of our country. The warnings about that were out from a congressman over ten years ago (only followed the bits and pieces of knowledge for a year or so, warning that 300 or so of those were scheduled to be built long ago).
We’ve had a do-nothing defense maintained by both political parties for decades.
