Not ALL preachers use that con-man cadence. It’s the signature of televangelists and similar. A good preacher would never go into that be-bop mode. As a P.K., I’ve heard thousands (millions?) of sermons in my 63 years. A credible preacher uses a normal voice.

Obama’s skill in speaking is his ability to use a lot of words to say nothing. Those listening in the crowd only hear the words that agree with what they want to hear.
Agree. He speaks quickly, and most of the time doesn’t look right at the audience, so what they are left with is picking out buzz words.
Also, he likes that rouse them finish, which is nothing more than raising the tone, and hyping the few catch lines.
Subconsciously I think the audience gets charged up as they know its coming to an end and they have had enough.

He’s a pretty good ‘reader’ as long as he has his teleprompter. With that, he can do the ‘black preacher’ thang and rally those who aren’t hearing what he’s REALLY saying.
Without the teleprompter, he’s like a 15 yr. old boy trying to argue with his parents why he should be allowed to stay out past midnight because Jimmy’s parents let HIM stay out past midnight. He’s VERY childish when they are HIS own words.

Obama is strictly jive time, with slightly better grammar than the usual shuck n’ jive crowd, half the sincerity, and twice the hate. Had he not been a druggie, flunked out of Occidental, arranged fake credentials at Columbia, worked hard at Harvard to be something other than a fraud, Obama might have an intellectual spark worth paying attention too, but he doesn’t.

An orator is distinguished in part by eloquence, and Barry sounds like a bumbling idiot without his teleprompter.
