Everyone who preached the truth of the Lord and the spiritual condition of their nation in the bible was reviled, declared demon-possessed and hated by their own countrymen for speaking what was right.

This thread proves there is nothing new under the sun. The only thing that is missing here is the booing.

Modern-day parlance would have had Jesus, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and every other prophet of God who tried warning their people to shape up and stand for righteousness instead of what was expedient and convenient - committed or imprisoned as a threat to the state.

Every single watchman of the Lord was killed by the very people they tried to warn. And then there’s what Jesus Himself had to say of His followers in Matthew 24.

The vitriol and hatred towards those of us on this thread who stand on our faith and principles and refuse to vote for Romney, is an illustrative example of how far this nation and culture have fallen in it’s disdain of anyone following God and not the herd of the culture.

Since you claim to be a preacher: Where in the New Testament does one of the Apostles speak of the difference between being persecuted for your faith, and simply suffering as a common wrong doer?

You can tell me, nobody here but just us. Do you have Amish patients sharing the facilities with you? They abhor modern conveniences, perhaps you can avail yourself of the extra items they have no use for?

I rejected your premise because you reduced the situation to one which could only be answered one way. It was not representative of reality in this election. Perhaps you cannot see what you did? Please reread your posted scenario. I disagree with your presuppositions. Therefore, it is pointless to answer.

As to my argument: It is spot on mathematically and in line with the reality of the battlefield.

Pretty judgmental there Preacher, considering that you don't know a damn thing about me outside of FR. I do have one more question however, per your tagline, do you encourage your congregation to 'Fart for liberty, fart for freedom and fart proudly'?

In that same vein, how large a church do you pastor? If you would be kind enough to tell us where your particular House of the Lord is located, some folks might be inclined to join you for Sunday services sometime, to hear what you've got to say up in the pulpit.

If you do, please put me on the list. I live in a remote and very sparsely populated area with an extremely cold and windy climate. So I'm not much into the "bugout" information with camping gear and the like, although such posts and threads are very entertaining and sometimes informative. But I am interesting in cutting personal/family energy, food, fuel and other costs.

I was a conservative family rights advocate during the '90s and did quite a bit of writing and some editing for small publications.

Thank you. That's encouraging. I wish that I could see a political solution beyond trying to find, support and vote for congressional and local candidates willing to uphold constitutional rights and cut funding for and repeal/abolish regulations in every level of government.

We do have an economic solution, though (mentioned earlier). And if you haven't already done so and want to, have a look at the history of Vaclav Havel and nonpolitical politics (part of the Czech effort against the Soviet Union).
