Yeah, I had a copy of that photo on my old computer. Pretty cool.
For kicks I bought a 1858 New Army Remington in .44 cal a few years back. I think of old Les Moore at times when I take it out to clean.
(It's my 'final option' defensive firearm and will put the hurt to someone at 25 yards.)
2.He was an actual bad guy (Outlaw, Killer and Rustler) in Tombstone at the time of the Earps, Doc Holliday & the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral
3.The picture is him as portrayed by Powers Boothe in the movie 'Tombstone'. (most accurate film of those events, and Wyatt Earp, ever made)
4.Curly Bill says that to Wyatt as the body of Morgan Earp is going by in a wagon.
Morgan was assassinated by 'The Cowboys'.
So that's the Cowboy and the 'Well Bye' caption quote is used when Trolls get Zotted, or some ijit Freeper pens his 'goodbye opus' and leaves FR in a huff over something trivial.
PS: If you've never seen 'Tombstone' you're missing not only a great movie but a pretty faithful retelling of Old West History.
Oh, and Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday is the best, truest, ever of 'Doc'. His line, 'I'm your Huckleberry' is also historically correct. It's also Val Kilmer's best movie role.
What he said! :)
I’d never seen that before. Thanks, Kanawa.
