Now does anyone wish to discuss the actual subject of the article, the problems, solutions, suggestions covered in the article?

I most certainly want to do so, but before doing that I'd like to thank you for all that you've done to try to warn the FReeper community about the coming hard times, and to give all of us information regarding how to start prepping - what beans, bullets and bandaids we need, and how much. Those that snipe at what are really small things in the big scheme of things are missing the most important message you have, which is that hard times of some kind or another are coming, and that there are certain things that we must ALL do if we hope to survive. As for the subject article: the author covered a variety of reasons why the system might cease working. Not all, by any means, but a sufficient number to get any thinking person to, well, THINKING. His prescription for 30 days of food and water is certainly not the best answer out there, but if even 20% of the population did that, we'd be immeasurably better off as a society. He gives the average Joe enough information to get started with beans, bullets and bandaids, but anyone with any curiosity could probably find a lot of the prepper sites without much trouble.

In conclusion, I think he did the Zero Hedge community a service similar to what you have done for us FReepers - though not nearly as much as you have, of course. Good article, good warning, decent stop-gap solutions.
