No...the disgrace is using Memorial Day as an excuse to promote birtherism. Reprehensible.

Obama naturalized as a US Citizen in 1983. His Certificate of Naturalization is on file with US Department of Homeland Security.

Could not disagree with you more. Memorial Day is the day to remember those who died defending this country. You can do that by firing up your BBQ, drinking beer, and being fat dumb and lazy, or you can spend a few minutes at least thinking about the disintegration of our Constitution. Quite frankly, the people who would rather continue with their bread and circuses and ignore potential violations of our Constitution because its just too uncool and inconvenient are effectively spitting on the graves of people who died for this country.

False dichotomy. There are other options between fat, dumb, and drunk or birtherism.

Really? Like what? What are you doing today that is so much better for honoring Memorial Day than discussing a possible blatant violation of the Constitution?

Yeah!!! Memorial day has nothing to do with Americans dying to defend and protect the constitution from foreign and domestic enemies and besides, the constitution means whatever the afterbirthers say it means!
Get outta here with that constituion stuff. This is Memorial day! ;)

...and birthers like to ignore the part of the Constitution that clearly establishes the rules to remove a President from office. (”He was never President” argument to follow.)

How about personal reflection, remembering a lost friend or family member, watch a documentary on or troops, read a book about our troops, volunteer at the VA, talk to a vet, etc...?

Those are all great things. Another great thing to do is to think about our responsibility as custodians of the country they fought for, especially on a political activist website. I'm a combat vet, and if I had died in battle, I'd rather have people show some concern about our Constitution being used as toilet paper than worrying about the details of how I got shot.

Really? "Birthers"? Every single person who wants Obama's eligibility verified likes to ignore the Constitution? Or is it just that one time you got into an argument with one guy who pissed you off, and now you run around talking like you're an expert on all "birthers"? I'll tell you what birthers want first and foremost: the truth. How about we get that for a change? Once it's out in the open, then we can worry about the next step, instead of wringing our hands and crying "Oh, we should ignore this whole issue because it would be so haaaaard to actually remove Obama from office."

You’re very welcome. It is so galling on this day of remembrance to have a man in the Oval Office who has no idea what Memorial Day means to America. (As you recall, he famously saw ghosts in the audience a couple of years back on this very day.) I hope, pray and believe this is the last Memorial Day we will have to endure the man. I wish him no harm; it’s just that it’s so unseemly to have this sneering US military hater pontificating over such a hallowed day.
