So, if you love ALL domesticated animals, then why did you shoot and kill the cat? After all, it wasn’t the cats fault that his owner let him loose to crap in your yard. The owner is at fault, yet the cat was the one killed. Perhaps you could have found the cat a better home???

I attempted to get animal control over here several times. I'm sure they would have found homes for the “wild” kitties that ate dinner on my neighbors back porch every evening and then went about their business ( making more kitties, crapping in my yard, driveway, leaving paw prints on EVERY vehicle I own, etc,.) - HOWEVER, I was told a couple of cats were not high on their priority list unless I believed them to be rabid. Before I could get the words “ but the law states that “ out of my mouth, they had closed the doors on the animal patty wagon and were on their way down the drive. Sistabrista, the cats were wild, no one would have adopted them and they would have died anyway at the hands and costs of Meck. County Animal Control ( if they would have bothered following the law & doing their jobs )in less time than my actions. Probably not in a humane fashion either. The animals did not suffer , their lights just suddenly went out. I'll save you from what you would probably believe to be the gory details. I'm terribly sorry to you and other cat lovers for my actions. It's not something I was chomping at the bit to do BUT tolerating their filth, fleas and other negatives were not an option either. The health and welfare of my loved, cherished and well cared for Shelties trumped a couple of wild cats. Truth be told, I'd have done the same if they had been a couple of Hobo's that refused to leave and that the local Law Enforcement refused to deal with. Feel better now ?
I am not a cold hearted , hateful man without love, respect and compassion for ALL life. I am a man that is held responsible for the lives within MY household though and I'll do WHATEVER IS NECESSARY to PROTECT those lives.

You have my word that before I ever repeat the actions taken that you seem to despise so much , I'll notify YOU and allow YOU the necessary time to come to their rescue. Oh , and please review my earlier post in regards to the said “ owner “ of the cats.

I appreciate your snide offer to notify me prior to killing anymore cats. Just so happens, I am volunteer with a local cat rescue in my town, and I rescue and foster homeless cats. Perhaps next time before killing innocent kitties, you can call an organization such as this.
