Chris “Sully” Sullivan used to play with the Penetrators.
Gary Heffern was the lead vocalist there. An Excellent vocalist but a tortured soul.
Dick Montana kinda kept him from going off the rails.
Sully went to prison for Coke and the entire band broke up.
The farmers didn’t sprout from that, but they saw a few souls through.
Couldn’t access songs.
Your having recorded and mastered 10 songs in a few months first time out is enough of an accomplishment. Most quit long before getting anywhere near #10.
Knowing what I know about recording music I would say that if the ten songs translated well to multiple other playback systems (home, car, Ipod) and the songs on the disc flowed one into the other without jarring differences(Mastering)you’re good as gold at this point.
Luck is the residue of design. Keep writing and recording and putting it out there. The next set will be better and the next better still. Most people who hit as songwriters have walked through a loot of closed doors for a lot of years. In choosing Country you’re entering one of the slickest generes on the planet. Say what you will about the Nashville Machine, it churns out a hell of a lot of smooth product. KEEP PUTTING IT OUT THERE!
Ooops, forgot: If you want potentially professional reviews post the stuff on GearSluts.com. Lotta’ industry guys on there.
Bttt.
“Site Suspended”
Damn, I wanted to hear “I’m Not Your Horse.”
Whoops!
GoDaddy suspended the site because early this morning it tried to use the wrong account to pay my hosting bill, which didn’t work (there wasn’t any money in it). Will probably have the problem fixed in a couple of days. MY BAD. Will ping all when it’s back.
Include me on that ping, if you don’t mind. The titles are interesting.
