Do you realize that both Mark Schauer and Bart Stupak counted CMS energy among their top contributors while in office?

NO mercury (not the slightest bit) allowed to produce electricity but... ....bulbs filled with mercury to burn in each home.Makes sense to an ecoweenie, I'm sure.

Not a fan of GE but someone has to do it. Buying GE generators sure beats the hell out of freezing to death in the dark.

What is the EPA going to do about all of the volcanoes that put out more mercury than mankind can even begin to think about making?

No President or Congress will get rid of ANY government agency, except maybe Ron Paul. Romney, Newt, Perry will only grow government, just like Ronald Reagan and both Bushes grew government each and every year. What will it take for so called small government conservatives to learn that Republicans have been in a position to stop government growth either through vetoing bills as President or cutting spending in congress for most of the past 40 years and never have.

Existing Coal Fired Boilers can be easily converted to Natural Gas Fired. No big investment - cleaner stack emissions - Gas Turbines not required.

The rule is aimed at coal-fired power plants, mandating among other things a 90 percent reduction in mercury emissions...astounding - at the same time they push this rule, they're requiring the country to abandon incandescent lighting in favor of systems like CLF bulbs, which contain high levels of mercury and practically demand a visit from your local hazmat unit for cleanup if one accidentally breaks - these people truly are psychotic......
