The most dangerous threat to the United States is the propagation of the myth that the government can do for the individual better than the individual can do for himself.

That liberty can be disregarded, or traded for security, as we climb slowly into a velvet lined cage to protect us from our fears instead of running free attaining greatness. It is a seduction, a play on our fears, and it is a lie.
