After reading this diatribe, I understand why folks there were not too fast to ingratiate this crew into their fold. The snide blaming Sarah for the shooting of Giffords, the less than positive description of the obesity of the area (don't the women in Great Britain also tip the scales pretty well also?), and the description of Wasilla as Deliverance On Ice. I think Nick Broomfield is the skinnier documentary maker version of Michael Moore.

We decide that the only way of reaching Sarah is to attend a rally. We find one billed as a ‘question and answer’ session. The questions are all scripted. With some difficulty, I shout: ‘Do you think your political career is over?’

This is met with an audible gasp from the packed auditorium. Sarah looks startled. And I am escorted from the building.

Is that not the Q&A where she responds to that question by suggesting, 'let's ask the people here'?

THAT place is dangerous.

I lived there for a few years. The only reason I lived through it is because all the mestizos thought I was scary crazy. And maybe, when I was there, I was. ;)

I left after a fall off a mountain during a blizzard and losing some body parts. Everything there has a stinger in it's tail or it's mouth, or eats or stomps human.

All in all, I did like NM. But I'm not going back soon.

This Broomfield is the same punk who several years ago made the fictionalized “documentary” about the Haditha incident where Marines were ambushed by insurgents and responded. I guess he wanted to make a fictionalized “documentary” about Palin.
