Americans wnat high wages, but high wages are killing jobs. There has to be a middle ground or we will have no wages.

No...Wages have to be in line with the cost of living...There are people at my company who are making 16 bucks and hour...They pay no taxes and get thousands back that they never paid in...They also have bridge cards (food stamps)...

A person getting a job only means he/she can buy more chinese made junk...

Another (almost) half a million jobs left our shores again last week...Never to return...THAT is the issue...Competing with China is NOT the issue...

In my experience as a hiring manager and business owner, about one in ten American applicants have a sufficient work ethic to be useful on the job. The rest feel themselves to be entitled - to an income, to a standard of living they see on TV

Perhaps you pay them so poorly they have a hard time getting motivated...Or perhaps not...Do you pay your employees enough that they no longer qualify for welfare benefits while working for you???

If we become a third world nation than what are we going to call the rest of the world that will plummet just as far as we do?

We're becoming a 3d world nation because we're a nation that can't even properly use our language. For example, we don't know the difference between the words "then" and "than."

Ask not what we can do for Americans, ask what we can do to help transnational companies hire foreigners.

I fear that if Obama is re-elected our government will deteriorate further from the corrupt banana republic it has become to a Hugo Chavez style dictatorship.

I had a conversation with a Union official a while back...He's also a relative...He of course says we are better of with a dem in the whitehous...

I pointed out that while the Republican Rinos are globalists and are selling the country out from under our feet, so are the democrats...

His response was that he agreed but we are better off with the democrat globalist...The democrats want to own own all the wealth and the people will work for the gov't in trade for food, housing, etc...And the poor people will be taken care of...

The Rinos on the other hand want to own all the wealth, pay slave wages and everyone who doesn't have a job, kick 'em to the curb...

He may be right...

That's why I'm Tea Party...I'm pro America and pro American...

I would rather make a common grammar error than come across as a sanctimonious grammar nazi, but then, I’ve always preferred to comment on the topic of the thread rather than correcting others grammar. So...are you a frustrated English teacher or simply an ass?

Except your union official relative is offering you a false dichotomy. Democrats can only own all wealth through tyranny and tyrants don't take care of poor people. Republicans want people that actually earn wealth to be able to keep it and/or spend it how they choose.

This is beside the point of course. If America were to become a 3rd world nation all of the countries that depend on it markets would also fall just as far.
