Well, that was like pulling teeth, but a good start. I’ll chew on the provided information for a bit and then get back. I am a research scientist and I normally get paid for this kind of work. I am more than willing to to some Freep Open Source Science but I draw the line at graduate student gruntwork.
Sorry, but that’s complete horsesh*t. I can put a single thermocouple in a fast-moving stream of water and I will not get an accurate reading of the temperature of the entire volume of water coming out of the pipe—rather, only the temperature at the tip of the thermocouple.
Please post a link to the report describing the equipment used to accurately measure the volume of outgoing water and its temperature. Note that I said, “accurately”—no bathroom scales, please.

Never trust a man with a womans name.
A truism if there ever was one!” <<
In Italy, Andrea is used both ways.
>> “We shall soon see either a scam disintegrate or a new energy source.” <<

I think that what we’re going to see is that the process isn’t sufficiently energetic to justify the waste of the nickle on large scale operations.
>> “If you have a convincing demo with numbers that make sense and work, present that. Dont present nonsense that doesnt add up and then spend your energy explaining where the real data is” <<
.
You’re asking to be spoon-fed; it isn’t going to happen, because your opinion, or reaction is of no concern to the researcher. Someone else may well be getting fed the reduced data, but not us.
There are probably a gazillion things where we can elicit these responses ~ but the field is so new no one has gotten around to all of them yet. Few have any idea what to do with them either.
Now, a practical question regarding the value of a degree, let's say we're working on another new way to use the van der walls forces to spin off electrons at immense power levels (per electron) and our lead researcher just drops dead.
The guy handing out the grant money says "Go get somebody who did his thesis on van der waals forces ~ the world's foremost expert if possible".
How long will that take?
Really, haven't we exhausted this subject?
When it powers a vehicle (car, boat, aircraft, rocket!) I will believe it.
Until then, its a stage trick.
No, because it’s amusing to see you try to make “bathroom scale” out to mean something other than, “bathroom scale,” as Rossi’s report describes it.
Dear me. I have been nothing but polite for two days now and have encountered nothing but derision and scorn from the proponents of this technology. My requirements for proof are laid out completely and clearly in post 20 and they are not unreasonable. If you think they are maybe we should discuss this before proceeding. I do note that the data provided does not meet the standards of #20 but it may be teased out of what is provided. Because of the obvious acrimony I have to do the calculations anyway but surely welcome anyone who wants to compute along. This, BTW, is graduate drudge work.
Your problem is you think you are belittling the capability of the scale ~ for all we know Rossi may have said "service scale" in Italian. Do you have the Italian report?
BTW, you ever ask "where is your restroom" in Baltimore they'll stare at you blankly. It's called a "bathroom" in that town ~ just like at home.
But you’re forgetting the “who are you?” issue.
The only way you are “somebody” is by controlling a gateway.
>> It’s called a “bathroom” in that town <<
.
Or “Baffroom.”
BTW, I talk that way ~ so there's no mystery.
>> “How does one Italian fake all these guys out?? Maybe he pays them??” <<
.
You don’t have any Italian relatives, do you! :o)
Your stated criteria.
"I do note that the data provided does not meet the standards of #20 but it may be teased out of what is provided."
So you're pissing and moaning because of failure to express the energy items in your precise units??? Guess what....you don't get to set the units....the people taking the data do. I guess "Mycroft Holmes" is the correct handle.... he was Sherlock's LAZY brother.
You are so full of crap you stink. I’ve just pulled up the technical report, and here’s EXACTLY a cut-and-paste description of the equipment from the October 6 test report:
“* Digital bathroom scale used for weighing the E-cat. It was calibrated by two persons knowing their weight.”
FURTHERMORE...nowhere in the list of equipment do I see anything capable of measuring the volume of water run through the machine! Would you mind explaining how this was measured?
Not my yob!
And how big do you think the error will be?? Probably no more than 0.1C. But they used two thermocouples, one on inlet and one on outlet, and recorded both with a data system.
"Please post a link to the report describing the equipment used to accurately measure the volume of outgoing water and its temperature. Note that I said, accuratelyno bathroom scales, please.
Info is not in the written report....it's in one of the videos. But it's the same totalizing flowmeter shown in the 6 Oct. demo on the output of the heat exchanger. They actually had it on the "input" water rather than the output. They focussed a video cam on it to get flow rates at intermediate times.
Dear me, once again with the insults. I indicated a willingness to do the calculations that haven’t been and need to be done and this is characterized as “pissing and moaning”. Do you agree that the stated criteria are reasonable before I put valuable work into this? It seems silly to proceed otherwise.
