For those who are concerned with Newt Gingrich's character and bring this episode in his life up everytime we have a thread with his name on it ( and especially now that he is surging in the polls ), here's information regarding this matter.

I wouldn’t believe a word those commie traitors at Mother Jones said. I’m not a Newt fan, but Mother Jones is pure leftist lying propaganda.

Newt needs to drop about 30, get his teeth fixed, and prepare for endless attacks on his character related to his marriages.

The media want Romney. He’s a Big Government type who will water down, but carry on the Obama programs should he somehow get elected. Of course, they’d rather have an authentic Marxist in office, so once Romney’s nominated, prepare for one anti-Mormon expose` after the other.

I heard Gingrich flat out deny this story to Juan Williams on Fox News. Gingrich said “not true.” Williams then sputtered “What about personal baggage what about personal baggage.”

I like Newt as a talker, hopefully won’t have to like him as our nominee, but who knows?

That said, this story still seems to be distorted, even after all their machinations.

Is it not so that her tumor was benign?

If it’s the case that the divorce was already in progress and this was not the situation that had been presented for years, that does change the perspective.

I also note that this was his high school teacher that he married while still in his teens. What was up with that?

I just think he’s a great thinker and talker but not a President, by nature, and he did have an affair while married to wife #2, and he has shown poor judgement in “crossing the aisle” in the past...

Don’t think we really need to go there to say “be careful” about him...

Yep. It is what it is. As far as I know Newt’s wife had a benign cyst and not cancer. He says he has made his peace with God for his misdeeds so we need to decide if he is qualified to be president of the United States. The answer is obviously yes.

Its probably going to come down to Romney, Cain or Gingrich. As long as its not Romney I can get behind either Herman or Newt. One thing we cannot lose sight of is that BHO has got to go.

“Newt served her divorced papers”

The daughter says clearly that it was her mother who initiated the divorce against Newt, not vice versa.

Just more smears from the Left against any Republican they view as a threat.

I don’t give a damn about Newts marriages.

I am worried about our country and Newt is the only one running who has a clue as to it runs.

Newt has gotten thing done in Government, and if he had not been thinking with the little head on occasion would have been a great help in heading off what has happened since he left the Congress.
The Democrats would not have run all this crap over Newt that they have run over the rest of the republicans.

His mistake has cost us dearly, but perhaps if we place him in the WEhite House he can straighten out the mess that came when he left and the Dems took advantage of his leaving.

I’ll take his daughter Jackie’s account over the scum at Mother Jones.

Don't worry, Perry has a fair percentage of supporters who put their full faith in Left-Wing smear jobs. They did it with Cain, they'll hop on the “Smear Newt” bandwagon as well. As long as it helps their guy.

I’m no fan of Newt, Perry, or Cain.....but I do wish the media would start launching similar investigations of Romney....but of course they won’t. The are protecting Romney just like they protected Obama in 2008.

“The media want Romney.”

Exactly. Romney can be portrayed as the very personification of Wall Street, which is what the Dems are running against as far as the sheeple are concerned (although in reality they are the party of Wall Street).

Their fallback was to run against Perry, who could be easily portrayed as the second coming of George W. Bush.

They don’t want any part of Cain or Gingrich.

Newt has gotten a little “frumpy” himself.

I am not a Gingrich fan because he was just too cozy with Clinton;however, every article I have read on the divorce/hospital episode described the wife as dying.

It only occurred to me to look at what happened to wife number one about four years ago. I looked to find out how soon after the "encounter" she had died only to find that all these many years later, she still lives.

I think what we all need to know is that the writer John Aravosis is not credible whether through ignorance due to limited exposure to facts of situations; or,stupidity because he can't comprehend what words mean; or,he's complicit in the agenda of the other team which means he will do or say anything if it benefits his end goals.

Decent people of integrity, conservative or liberal, should be very aware that this man's work should be viewed with skepticism and carefully reviewed.

Was this article written by the lady accusing Cain of sexual wrong doings?

So, no death bed. The tumor wasn't cancerous. Also no "divorce papers."

Possible talk about the terms of the divorce -- that's not denied. But giving her papers to sign isn't confirmed.

Were the girls even in the room when the divorce was discussed? Was anyone in the room apart from Newt and Jackie?

Jackie Gingrich doesn't mention divorce papers or the yellow legal pad, but does say that he wanted to discuss the terms of the divorce while she was recovering.

Wikipedia isn’t exactly a conservative site, but if you look at their article on Gingrich, it cites his daughter Jackie saying last May that it was Gingrich’s wife who requested the divorce, that the tumor her mother was operated on for was benign, and that the reason Newt visited her in the hospital was to take his daughters to see their mother.

I agree. Whatever happened is way in the past and none of our business, it is a personnal matter, and all concerned have moved on, and repeating this over and over and over would only bring any pain associated back into focus for the exwife. Talk about heartless.
