That’s not a defense. Exactly what does that have to do with Perry?
Texas has grown hugely in ten years. Everybody...well, not quite...is flocking here, and no, they aren’t all illegal, they are coming from all over the nation.
I don’t have figures to compare apples to apples, that is, when TX was smaller, or we didn’t have so many unfunded mandates as we do now, etc., how does the relative size of government stack up.
I don’t pretend to have those. But common sense would tell me to look at that in my assessment of the current size of TX government.
That being said, I don’t fall for a contrived notion that nobody is a conservative, no matter their positions and actions on a whole range of issues, unless their state government shrinks in 10 years.
Was CA’s government smaller after 8 yrs of Reagan?
I agree with you.
Never. Have you ever had a baseless lawsuit waved at you in a corporate environment? I have witnessed it but never had it happen to me. The corporation ‘paid off’ the useless bastard with a severance package and went on with business. I was a year later asked to write a job rec for the scumbag. I mde no effort to reply at all since the homosexual degenerate would have probably done the same thing at the next business he infected. Looking at Herman’s character, I doubt these females were anything more than gold diggers playing the feminazi system. But I cannot accuse that since we have yet to see the actual facts of these allegations. The author of this thread is a scuymbag who does no good thing for Rick Perry, and frankly, is stinking up Freerepublic.
Perry was wrong by saying heartless, what he should’ve said is whiners and crying babies, LOL!
Heartless, Gardisil, TTC, no opposition from the RINO Texas Republican losers... it adds up to a big load of garbage.
They're pretty much the same posters.
There was a particularly nasty group of Palin supporters on here who were quite vicious on any Perry threads.
This same small group has transferred their adoration and associated bad behavior to Cain.
What they need to understand is that they insisted on the other candidates being vetted; they should not complain about this being done for their own.
So look at it on a per capita basis. Did it stay the same? Go up? Go down? Its a simple question not requiring a nuanced answer.
Out of bounds, dude/dudette.
I’m not a Perry supporter or bot. I don’t support anyone at this point!
Yes I have, And I cut out the lawyers and took care of that **** on a personal level, against the lawyers wishes.(In Ca)
That’s the way Perry likes to run the courts too.
The National Restaurant Association gave $35,000 a years salary in severance pay to a female staff member in the late 1990s after an encounter with Herman Cain, its chief executive at the time, made her uncomfortable working there, three people with direct knowledge of the payment said on Tuesday.

No, it’s not out of bounds.
I was willing to take your original post with a grain of salt, but what you posted above is so disingenuous and denigrating to the average FR conservative poster, I've written you off.
You are insinuating that if we support Cain, we are somehow paid? Really! I'm a middle-class, longtime freeper who has never been paid to state my opinion on JimRob's forum. You insult me and I'll take that into consideration on how I view the candidate you support.
“Not a lot of people seem to be offended by the hatchet job that has been done on Perry.
It was self inflicted.......
15th largest pizza Co in the USA or 15th largest economy in the WORLD?
Your previous post proved that you're a femi-nazi.
Yes, it is out of bounds since you’re trying to attack her personally. And you’re rude.
Well, I advise you not to go on Perry threads if you want to continue having any respect for the Cain supporters who post there.
I posted a thread today, a relatively unbiased article from the Dallas morning News talking about the judges Perry has appointed to the Texas Supreme Court. He’s appointed more judges than any other governor.
In Texas, judge are elected and serve 6 year terms (good idea for the Supreme Court in my opinion — might make it ten years, but not life).
The governor can appoint a judge to fill a seat that is vacant but that judge will have to run for election eventually.
Some of the criticism was that the judges he appointed were too conservative and too pro-business and various other complaints but many were favorable also.
The thing I found fascinating about it was that it showed Perry’s record.
A record ! Amazing. You may not like everything Perry does but you can look up and see what he’s done about every issue.
Cain has no record at all. We just don’t know, do we?
I think that may be the attraction for some people ... a nice blank slate where you can put all your hopes and dreams ... but that could be dangerous.
Anyway, immediately a certain person - familiar to all - pops on that thread whining because Perry didn’t appoint some judge this person liked. The particular judge ran twice for election after that and lost both times and this poster blamed Perry for it! Hah.
