Rick Perry is the most conservative “liberal” (he’s called that every day on FR) I’ve ever known.
I don’t mean this unkindly, since I’m for him, but he is almost Neanderthal-ish in his conservatism.
When somebody tells the Federal Reserve Chairman he’d better not be printing money between now and the election or else he’s bordering on treasonous behavior, that’s breathtaking.
Or calls SS a Ponzi Scheme.
Or on a more personal note, tells an interviewer who asks him the question, that he does NOT believe in the Theory of Evolution...
I could go on, about taking a stand against gays in the Boy Scouts...in a book, no less...
There you go again. Making assumptions about me that you do not know. Please fill me in on my intent to post this editorial.
Interestingly, no one read my editorial. I lay out some pretty serious events from the Herman Cain experience that tied together don't look good. It proves that Herman Cain supporters (or staffers) aren't really serious.
Instead, the thread has become an attack on Perry. Imagine that. I think we need a ruling. Are Perry supporters really welcome on FR any more?
“All he has ever said ...”
You conveniently forget how he had an opportunity to VETO Texas giving in-state tuition to foreigners living in Texas illegally ? Providing incentives to Mexicans to come to Texas IS an Open Borders ACTION. Actions speak louder than words.
Has the size of the government in Texas grown or shrunk under Perry?
How do you figure I hate Clarence Thomas or Herman Cain?
What I hate is the way Perry has been dumped on, unfairly.
I virtually think the only thing he really fumbled was the heartless comment.
All of the rest of what he has said is reasonable.
Now Mr Cain parrots his stance on the border, but Mr Cain got no flack for the electric fence that will kill you!
KUDOS, BullyPulpit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, that kind of admission doesn't say much about your character. Good luck with that.........
What evidence do you have that Perry’s campaign is behind this? Is this just some baseless innuendo?
Were you sued for sexual harassment?
I have purposely kept quiet about Cain. I believe that I can read people pretty well since I’ve had so many years of experience with all kinds of people. There is something not “right” about Cain. I can’t put my finger on it, but there is some dishonesty in his speech and his narrative. My B.S. meter has been in the red zone concerning him. I’m still in the mode where I will write in my candidate.
Oh, and Perry did use the word heartless. I heard him. Who am I going to trust, you or my own ears?
The man has a solid record.
Victoria— I totally agree with your post. There is some smoke here, and I’m not going to unlock logic to declare a la Ann Coulter that this is a lynching. I supported Clearance Thomas after I investigated and more of the allegations became unbelievable (Coke cans and such). I am also 20 years wiser now, and I’ve seen some pretty horrible leaders in my life, as all people my age probably have. The series of stories coming out over the past three months from the Cain campaign point to what I tried to enunciate in the lead editorial of this thread. I believe Cain is an arrogant and reckless manager. He’d sink a submarine if he was skipper. I’ve seen this before. In real life.
Joe
Downright refreshing ain’t it!
No more baseless inuendo that what sheild posted to me.
Oh great. Now we’re being lectured about politics on the basis of popular music. That may be the most stupid thing I’ve heard in this political season.
I said I am waiting for the facts and keeping an open mind. You should try it sometime, Marvin. And I don’t play the race card. That’s for liberals!
Well, bye.
The attorney who represented one of the recipients of the settlement money disclosed tonight on CNN's Anderson Cooper that he was told the proceedings and settlement information had been leaked by an individual at the National Restaurant Association.
And while it may be another day or so before we know for sure, here's another indication of the culprit some are pointing to:
