No, he nominates people for the supreme court.

You are correct on the rest.

YES...lead. George Washington was a great leader...as were others.

Abortion is the greatest curse on our nation. Though it will take Congress to change this, the president can have a tremendous influence on this. Personally, I want a leader in that office who has a STRONG base of moral virtue. Such a desire gives NO advantage to liberal thinking whatsoever!

More media destruction of a potential Obama opponent. It would be great if Larry Sinclair would travel with Mr. Cain to stand ready to answer questions about his sexual encounter with Obama in 1999. Dare the media to act responsibly by asking appropriate questions and allow Mr. Cain to answer allegations.

Once they go over the line. Simply ask the reporter if they had interviewed Mr. Sinclair and why not – and then have Larry step forward in a national forum.

Herman Cain should hire Larry Sinclair as his official spokesperson for all questions about this allegation! Crickets heard in the media?

Yes it is time for the the conservative media to investigate
Obama’s acquaintance with the case of the two deceased parishioners of Rev. Wright's church who were openly gay and were murdered execution style within 40 days of each other and were according to Sinclair was friendly with Obama. Also a third parishioner, (choir director) Donald Young also killed execution style, said that Obama and he were “intimate” with each other according to Larry Sinclair. Sinclair says on two seperate occasions in Nov 99, he engaged in sexual acts with Obama and they smoked crack cocaine in a limo and at a hotel in Gurnee, Ill.

Now I’m not sure if you’re referring me, but I will respond as though you are. :)

Many conservatives wonder how the liberal agenda took over America. One of the ways it did was that conservatives seem to have a tendency to reject very good candidates because they aren’t perfect. What happens in this situation is that those very good candidates are rejected, while we’re searching for that super-duper candidate and we end up with the Mitt’s of the world and we wonder why the Republican party keeps getting the drecks.

Overturning the liberal agenda is going to not happen in any single election, but it is going to happen over thirty years. We do need to keep up the pressure at all times, but it will happen.

If you peruse the history of my posts, you will notice that I have said the same thing.....and that there is no such thing as a perfect leader. Another factor is that the culture of this nation began to be formed by the increasing tendency to ignore God. Personally I think THIS factor is key.

The ONLY way the liberal agenda can be overturned is to rediscover how GOOD things can be when we follow HIM. It won’t happen via mere politics.

The awareness of God and the desire to follow him is definitely a factor, and my apologies for seemingly snapping at you.

I didn’t mean to do that to you personally.

I just get exasperated when, no matter how good of a leader we find, he’s just not good enough.

I tend to think even George Washington would probably fail the test of being a conservative. :)

“I tend to think even George Washington would probably fail the test of being a conservative. :)”

Lol! Yes, I think you are right on this. I trust that God will bring about His Good out of all that we are going through. I DO believe that HE has a plan. ;-))

I also understand that we are all *on edge* because we see the seriousness of our situation. Thus, I consider you a good fellow FReeper. ;-)

Personally, I think that Herman Cain is a good man and could be the leader that we need. I am also watching Newt Gingrich. I also believe that men DO learn from their mistakes and he has admitted where he went wrong. I respect that... and very much like his ideas too.

As an aside, my sister came to visit on Sunday. She has limited access to TV and even less access to the Internet. Without knowing our thoughts on some of this, she announced that she was going for Gingrich. We all had a good discussion after that.
