Over the past several years there have been quite a few middle eastern illegals with terror ties found in Detroit. So far, none have sneaked in from Canada. They all crossed the southern border and the full width of the country.

I agree it is about sovereignty and security.

This invasion is turning us into a third world criminal cesspool. The USA has been going downhill since the first amnesty. Mexico has good food but it never innovated much except for the siesta and it has always been corrupt.

Why don’t we just enforce the laws we have now with a few well placed machine gun nests...

Shut down the gravy train and the need for a fence is diminished.

There’s an old term that you and many on FR know well and understand that the Libs and open border Repubs do not. That term is “A Reckoning” and it’s coming to pass sooner than many think.

All the libs make a lot of noise on this issue and what they have accomplished is plant a garden filled with some pretty bad seeds. It’s sprouting now. All hell is going to break loose and it’s going to be violent and bloody. It will not be people like us who start it, but we’ll damn sure end it.

And all of it falls squarely in the Dem/Libs laps. Their day will come and when the trials begin, it will not be us in the defendant’s seat. They planted it, nurtured it, advocated for it and defended it. Eventually they will be held responsible for what they wrought.

Unfortunately before it gets better, it always gets worse.

The first thing I see when I view my rented DVD is a big warning that I’m susceptible to 5 years in prison or $500K fine (or is it 250K? ) if I illegally copy/pirate it.

Why aren’t USA employers facing the same notice for encouraging cheap labor and illegal immigration that costs every USA taxpayer much more?

NO!!!

Because that gravy train can always return to the station. Build that fence and the dems lose power to bring it back. Anything that makes and keeps it harder for them to ‘return’ to their tactics is what we need done.

We still need a fence or physical barrier in contrast to the title of this thread and your assertion that we don’t need one. That was my point.

From a standpoint of illegal immigration I totally agree. From a viewpoint that there may come a time we may wish to freely leave instead of being penned in, I disagree. As a libertarian I don’t trust the direction we are headed. 1984 is still a good read.

A billion dollar fence would be a bargain.

We are spending an estimated $4.5 billion a year just in paying fraudulent refundable tax credits to illegals submitting federal tax returns.

All a ‘strategic fence’ will allow is for dems to file suit and grandstand every time a little illegal darling of any nationality meets armed resistance crossing the border.

Full Fence minimizes that.

I tell ya, we’re less than 20 years away from electing a president for life who prefers to be called general. The idiots are whining about not wanting to be locked in but are happily allowing those who will do it, to cross our border at will.

The actual quick answer is to permanently disqualify the ability of the owners and managers from ever deducting employees salaries/wages from their fed or local taxes. thus if a state allows it the net reduction must be added back to the fed bill. By holding all officers managers forever liable they can’t shut down and open a new entity and there is a hue incentive to rat out the business.

Lastly it should be a federal law that anyone using someone else’s id for purchase or employment forfeits all of their assets to the other party. (just assets not debts)

There are lots of reason the north is becoming more conservative. All our leeches are flowing south and meeting up with the leeches flowing north across the border.

And some stone faced brutal b’stards as well. And ‘they’ hold the power. Coming soon to a neighborhood near us all...and for some it already has.

While we on FR may talk candidly like this and demand that those who benefit be punished, I ‘ll guarantee that those on the top rungs of politics think much differently. Karl Rove once told Tancredo (because of his anti illegal immigration stance) never to cast a shadow on the White House door.

They look at things like big campaign donations instead of votes. A million dollars in campaign donations buys a million votes even if it goes against the grain of constituents.

I’m generally against politicians because most are neither honest nor trustworthy nor interested in the USA. They are interested in themselves.

I would definitely support it in the current climate of all talk no action by the pols.

My original point was not against a fence but in favor of removing the carrot that would send those already here back home.

"In addition put the military on the boarder with shoot to kill orders."

And if we ever end up with a two bit dictator, they will be shooting people who are trying to LEAVE.
