Perry is one of the good guys, he may not be your candidate but I rallied around Palin all the time when she misspoke and was never a supporter but she was one of the good guys.
Freeper Perry haters have sunk to the bottom of the barrel.
My thoughts, too. You know that the xxth century is one off from the xx00's and you go the wrong way. No big deal.

Perry signed legislation to give in state tuition to illegal aliens.
Perry signed legislation to use taxpayer dollars to pay for kids braces and provide rides to the dentist.
Perry signed legislation to require school kids to be tested for steroids.
Perry advocated a bi-National Socialized Medicine for the US and Mexico.
Not one of the good guys.
When Joe Biden says, “Dumb is a three letter word,” Rick nods in agreement. But, I betcha Rick knows the dates of all the Mexican holidays and historic events.
Could be just another slip of the tongue, could be early onset Alzheimer’s, or anything in between.
But if I were his wife I’d have him checked out pronto. He seems a bit too sluggish to me, for what he’s fixing to do.
Actually, he missed it by one syllable. That’s the difference between being asked a question, thinking about it, and writing down the wrong answer, and saying the wrong word in the middle of a speech.
And I still haven’t seen a video of the mistake, so we are just taking someone’s word that this is what Perry actually said, and that it wasn’t just that the reporter didn’t understand his texas drawl.
Of course he knows it. He either simply misspoke, or was misheard, or translated the century/year thing backwards.
Note that the reporter wanted to make him sound really stupid, so it says “200 years” not “by 2”, which was the technical error.
Don’t worry, when Romney is done with Perry, this is what will happen to Cain, if Romney doesn’t just pay him off with a VP offer.
I’m confused by your list. Are you saying that schools should not have any drug testing regime for students? Should high school athletes be left to use any performance-enhancing drugs they like?
Are you opposed to all state-provided medical help? Because in our conservative state of Virginia, we have a government-sponsored health care plan for children, we have free and reduced-price lunches for children, we have free and reduced-price vaccines for children, if they are “needy”.
Are you opposed to people being allowed to choose their own health care? Because Perry wanted to remove an obstacle to an american buying insurance that he could use to pay doctors in either Texas or Mexico, and vice-versa. There are a significant number of people, both Americans and Mexicans, who work across the border from their home countries, all legally, and would choose to have a primary care physician where they work if they could.
Or are you just ignorant of the distinction between “bi-national” and “bi-nationalized”?
Oh, I see you threw in the word socialized, so I guess that answers the previous question.
How about we let parents and not the Nanny State parent the children and decide if their kids should suffer the violation of steroid testing?
How about we allow parents and not the tax payer cover the cost of their kids braces and drive them to the dentist?
How about we let Americans pay for just their own health insurance and not subsidize the cost of Mexicans medical care?
Some people on FR are so ridiculous they are not worth responding to. I just responded to the original post because I was curious if our side would join in the leftist tactics against our side. They will.
From your first answer, I assume you believe that schools should have no right to require that student athletes be tested for performance-enhancing drugs.
From your second answer, I assume you are against all government medical aid, or any sort of safety net for the poor and indigent.
From your third answer, I assume you still are ignorant as to what allowing “bi-national health insurance” actually means.
Just remember that Rick Perry’s fall from grace is his own doing, not yours, it is because of perception in the general public, not anything wrought by freepers, and his “fall” is as shallow as his “rise”, and is essentially meaningless at this point, as is Cain’s current lead in the polls.
Then have some fun, because that is mostly what this political sniping here is good for. Well, that and trying to polish up your own ability to argue, debate, and to provide explanations.
That’s what I use FR for a lot. I’m a local opinion writer, and if I want to try to explain something to my audience, and I’m not sure which explanations will have more impact, I try them out here, and see which get laughed off and which get people to think.
It’s why I signed up here in 2004 (I can’t believe I’ve been writing for 7 years now — and I still haven’t figured out how to make it into a paying career :-) )

Braces and rides to dentist is Medicaid funds. instate tuition passed by Legislature, bi-national health insurance was investigated to see about selling PRIVATE insurance plans, not socialized medicine. So post your links, otherwise it is so much garbage.

Probably not. I don’t know anyone over age 5 who doesn’t connect “the Revolutionary War” and “1776” immediately and instinctively. It’s something you remember... like your name. If he missed dates for the Battle Of Hastings or Magna Carta, no biggie, but, seriously... 1776?

Children taking steroids will have elevated blood pressure and fits of rage, not to mention that it can kill them. These children should not be playing sports. You are not interested in the truth. It does not suit your agenda.
Again, It is not the responsibility of the Perry Nanny State to step into the parents shoes to search and screen kids for steroids.
I as a Texas parent can handle that on my own.
And, it is not the responsibility of the Perry Nanny State to drive my kid to to orthodontist.
In my family, either my wife, our nanny or I will drive our daughter to the orthodontist and I will pay the orthodontist out of my own pocket.
However, I understand that you support government programs which would put braces on your kid’s teeth all at my expense.
