I was chatting with a realtor friend yesterday about how the country doesn't realize just how booming some parts of our State is. We are in a mid-sized town of just under 100K and we have new businesses opening every day, not just big business, but lots of individuals are starting 'dream' businesses. One friend of ours just started their own little French-style bakery. There is a lot of confidence here you don't see in other parts of the country.
Cain is closer to the Ben Bernanke than any other candidate.
That federal reserve is working out great for us. /s
Mr Cain rightly understands that growth is the key to our doldrums, but I am uncertain as to how he will manage to do it if he wants to pal around with his Fed buddies and the Super Committee, and all the while play games like calling Perry insensitive, while ignoring that it was Perry that kiboshed that naggerhead rock 30 years ago.
I think most do. I believe Huntsman believes in Hope and Change. Paul, Johnson and Romney are well enough below that 50% conservative level, they may say they reject it but they wouldn’t do enough about it. I would be happy with most of the rest of the field including Jimmy McMillan (just for the LULz).
Heck, I think Freepers should unite behind Jimmy McMillan. The taxes are too damn high!
True.
I have friends in real estate here and they are doing well.
No sales tax while 16A lives.
That said, there is a pistol in the desk in the next room. You will know what to do when the time comes, and now is that time.
LOL, pretentious much?
I hate to point it to you, but it is delusional to think anything you wrote represents anything of the founding fathers. It is barely literate at best.
What a thoughtful response. Attack the messenger and not the specific message. I take it you would also charge our founding fathers as wearing a swastika, especially those like Madison who intentionally voted to forbid bank notes to be made a legal tender.

In most of Texas they are doing great. My wife owns her own business as a private vocal coach and piano teacher. It is one of those businesses that people would give up first when the economy goes south... and she has a waiting list so long, she actually had to take her website down for a while to stop the calls.
With all of Perry’s warts, if the rest of the country does half as well as Texas under him, we would be booming.
This is why, honestly, I’m not crazy about the my candidate or the highway attitudes. I like Cain (obviously) and he is my first choice but I also like Perry and would work hard for him as well.
Our Taxes are to damn high.
But they aren’t the worst. That damn drought is taxing.
There are folks here that are getting killed by the drought and they have sold the cattle off except for one or two in order to keep the AG tax break.
They cant afford to feed them but they cant afford to lose the AG tax break on the land.
Despite all that Texas is thriving.
No I attack you for being an obvious moron.
Did I ever mention you are my FReeper mentor. LOL.. Between you and Humblegunner, one day I'll come up with a smarta** comeback worthy.. :->
Perry is not the enemy. Big Gov is the enemy.
I honestly believe Perry when he says he is a states rights guy.
He has rankled feathers at the local level and the federal level, but I honestly believe him.
If Mr. Cain were sincere in advancing the interests of America’s free market system, its businesses and working class people, and not his international banking pals interests, he would be advocating an end to the Marxist income tax and a return to our Constitution’s ORIGINAL TAX PLAN which would remove the Washington Establishment’s grip from the necks of the American people, and he would do it with the 32 word plan:
The Sixteenth Amendment is hereby repealed and Congress is henceforth forbidden to lay ``any`` tax or burden calculated from profits, gains, interest, salaries, wages, tips, inheritances or any other lawfully realized money

Cain isn’t the enemy either. Nor is Bachmann, Pawlenty, or Newt..
Some of the useful idiots like Paul and Romney are close enough to the enemy we might as well treat them as such.. but we should all unite behind values versus oppose those fighting for our side.
Things take steps. You can’t change it overnight. That’s why both Steve Forbes and Art Laffer have praised the 999 plan- it is a logical and realistic step towards either a fair tax or flat tax plan.
Too many have coffee-shop philosopher ideas with big words but no real ability or plan to implement them. (..cough, Paul, cough...)
They cant afford to feed them but they cant afford to lose the AG tax break on the land. Despite all that Texas is thriving."
I dont see any federal tax dollars to aid us, and we are doing just fine.
That is Rick Perry's message
We don't need your money.
Barack is constantly whining that he need money, so's he can put it in a slush fund for his pals.
see: Federal Reserve Documents Reveal Massive Foreign Bank Bailouts
By Julie Borowski on Apr 04, 2011
Last week, the American people were finally informed on what the Federal Reserve has done with some of their money behind closed doors. It was revealed that one of the largest recipients of the Fed’s money was foreign banks during the 2008 economic downturn. We can’t say that we’re surprised. The Fed fought tooth and nail to keep these documents secret for a reason.

Maybe the Super committee will repeal the 16th amendment?
I kinda doubt it
