Thanks so much for posting this-it really helps put things in perspective. What amazes me is that, in a year with the Tea Party and perhaps the largest grassroots movement in several generations, we have a frontrunner candidate that is pretty much the definition of the term “ruling class.”
If Mitt gets in, he will not spend one once of political capital fighting any of Obama’s changes. The new EPA regs, Obamacare, whatever, he will likely leave them all in place. Sure, he may issue waivers to the states for Obamacare, but the question is will he FIGHT to push repeal through Congress. Given what he did in Mass, the answer is almost certainly no.
With so much on the line and with our republic hanging in the balance, we simply can’t let the ruling class pick our candidate again.
It’s very important to pay attention to every single word Mitt says.

However, as Jeff notes, there are two subtle signs that raise questions about Romneys commitment to repeal. The first is that, in many settings, Romney did not argue for full repeal, but merely for repealing the worst aspects of Obamacare (emphasis added):
President Obamas new healthcare law imposes higher taxes, cuts Medicare, contains insurance price controls and expands the size of our federal government. It is unhealthy for America. That is why it is critical that we elect fiscally-responsible conservative leaders who will work to repeal the worst aspects of Obamacare, restore commonsense principles to healthcare, and focus on getting our economy back on track.
But which parts are the worst? And which would he preserve? Romney favors the individual mandate, easily the laws most controversial measure, and opposes its Medicare cuts, without which the law would have carried even more fiscal risk.
On the contrary, given that he's been on both sides of just about every issue over the course of his career, I'd say his words are completely worthless and therefore not worth listening to at all.
Spot on analysis.
He is not even a RINO. He is a Democrat who wears a Republican brand belt to hold his Social Democrat trousers up.
Interesting read. Mitt said it. Who knows if he means it or not... that is the problem with Mitt. He does not stick his own neck out very far on anything.
Frankly, it blows my mind that Romney polls so well and those who think the GOP is conservative can’t explain the support for Romney. Crazy!

Half a loaf means nothing. I absolutely don’t want him either but lets not give him any kind of a leg up on this matter. Any part of ObamaCare left to rule us is indeed just that. Mittens needs to be evicerated because of his stance on this.
Yeah, the Republican women’s straw poll chose Herman Cain ass the winner!
It looks like he left his Just 4 Men oh a atad too long.
