All previous elections have been evaluated on the basis of demographics-how did blacks vote, hispanics, jews, men, women, etc.

There’s a new dynamic, and it’s the reason no one on either side has learned the lesson of the 2010 elections.

It’s where do you work (or not)?

People voted in 2010 based on how they perceive their bread to be buttered. It’s now the private sector versus the public sector, that would be those who perceive their bread to be buttered by government. And the private sector when awakened, as they now are, represent a decided plurality.

Employers used to be the only ones frightened of liberal policies. Now employees, a decidedly larger number, are afraid and incensed. They have instinctively realized that targeting the people who sign their checks as the enemy, can in the end harm them.

The jewish pivot against Obama is not about Israel, it is about America and what it is becoming. It is about fiscal policy alone. We can keep on evaluating politics using demographic groupings if we wish, but we will miss the operative dynamic now in play.

The lines have been drawn since Obama took office. It’s the private sector versus government, and even some government employees realize where all the money comes from.

We’re all one color now, and that color is green.

“Why would that be truer for Jewish people than hard working, honest, patriotic Americans of any religion?”

It’s a strong line, but Jews are generally well-educated and have all the access they need to fully assess Obama. So they have no excuses. Blacks I can forgive in 2008, easily, as they’ve waited hundreds of years for that moment (Marxist or not)...as to 2012, their vote is still in their interest and makes strictly from a pocketbook perspective (i.e., Republicans will cut off welfare checks). Hispanics, in large part, get their news from Spanish language media and who the hell knows what’s being written about us there...so seeing them lean liberal makes some sense. Gays make sense, of course, in how they vote.

It is simply next to impossible to figure out Jews though...especially given the way they are DESPISED by this administration.

“But the vast majority of Jews will still vote for him.”

We shall see. Keep in mind if he loses even 10% of the ones he had to Cain in Florida, he loses much of the numerical advantage that he had in 2008 (i.e., besides the Cain voters not counting for Obama, they also neutralize 10% of the Jewish voters that he still gets). Aside from Florida, the real power of Jews in our system is their wallets. At this point, they’ve cut their donations in half (or something like that...as I read somewhere). Still a long way to go, and if Obama can show that Cain is into burning crosses, then Obama likely gets the Jews back, along with their money.

And you aren’t? So I think it as stretch, but I hear you. I’ve seen a lot of Jewish conservatives try to explain it - none convincingly.
