PF, this “8th grader” crap in beneath you, I would hope. Some damn scoring system rated Sarah’s e-mails an 8.2. The Failure’s SOTU speech was ranked at 8.4, and the Gettysburg Address was an 8.6, according to this system. It is foolish to say that Sarah is a poor writer, when even off-the-cuff e-mails rank highly.
Amazingly, Lynn Vincent’s writing sounds exactly as Sarah does when she speaks. I’m sure that Lynn helped edit and organize the stories. This is Sarah’s voice, unlike Dreams of My Father. Bob
For the sake of your own credibility, you might want to run spell check if you arent able to spell professional. Its elementary school stuff not even rising to the level of eighth grade. ... MayflowerMadam
As everybody knows, I do not support a Palin GOP nomination. However, I have to come to the defense of Palin on this issue.
Palin's e-mails were analyzed by the FleschKincaid test. The FleschKincaid score measures, not the writer's skill, but the educational level required by the reader to understand what is written. The test measures "readability".
When writing e-mails about nontechnical issues, a FleschKincaid at a lower educational level is the norm and, also, desirable.
There is no absolutely no need or desirability to write "I am going to induce anaerobic metabolism to the level of the lactate inflection point in the organism in my domicile of the taxonomic family of Canidae in order to accrue the resultant salutary consequences for the aforementioned" when you can simply write, at a FleschKincaid score of less than Fourth Grade, "I'm going to take my dog for a fast run because it's good for him".
As far as proffessional, professional, professionaal and profesionall is concerned, a typo is a typo, especially when you typr fastt..
That is right where they should be.
