‘Sadly the media is so busy covering Obama’s bottom...’
Or kissing it.

Its really sad Ive never seen this before here. This was a regular occurrence during the Great Depression.
My father described it to me. His family lost their modest savings in FDR's banking holiday, their local bank collapsed. However the ranch mortgage, held by the same bank, didn't disappear like the savings account.
The government helped,....the guy who bought the mortgage foreclose on the ranch. Granddad got nothing.
I think we will see different Obama trickery to accomplish the same this time.

It helps that I own my home free and clear and I dont have a family to care for.How can somebody who owns their house outright consider themselves poor?

I live in South Jersey whose boat work companies have been VERY hard hit with the economy. Even Viking and Ocean who were the soundest are working with skeleton crews.
I work on our school Holiday Food &Toy Drives.
I have noticed an uptick in people requesting assistance.
We always get the ones who are first in line as long as it is free, but it is different now.
Folks come in asking us if they could get a turkey. They don't ask for the toys, just food.

By the standards the democrats use, I'm downright impoverished. Heck, I don't have an Iphone, a new car, or thousands of dollars in credit card debts.

"'Enlightened' and 'educated' lefties abound in my community, and show their disdain for me when I mention that 'All government employees are non-producers'.
It's hilarious considering the high priced University of California (Berkeley or Santa Cruz) education they have doesn't give them the tools to know I am correct."
Exactly. That also applies to a university with the lowest tuition in the Midwest during the 1980s. Far too much is paid on education for production floor planning, properly setting a ring and pinion (repair) or unnecessarily breaking/wearing tools on a mill or lathe (variations in materials, ambient temperatures, tools, etc., foiling feeds and speeds in files). But managers want what they want right now--this instant, without retention and on-the-job training, whatever the cost.
We should each do more than preparing ourselves. We should teach young folks while preparing to rebuild and produce.
